Dear Mr.

Daniel Tschudi,

As we discussed at Transformer Seminar 2013 in Berlin, I tried to explain our products to

your colleagues, but they did not have enough time. In this case, I propose some ideas to you.
These proposals do not involve money, they involve human resources.

I. Web platform (software)

First of all, our web software platform has the possibility to adapt to WEIDMANN’s
existing part for insulating oil analysis. Moreover, certain tests and measurements for different
equipment from electrical substations can be ordered by the client, using the same principle as for
insulating oils. In this way, WEIDMANN’s existing services can be extended.

Using our web software platform, all the installed monitoring systems can be accessed and
analysis and diagnosis reports for electrical equipment can be generated. Also, client databases can
be managed, followed by analysis reports generated at certain time intervals; this web application
can also be used to send / receive analysis reports, studies, etc. to / from WEIDMANN experts.

These being said, we encourage the use of the application by WEIDMANN experts and
some potential beneficiaries, in order to see its utility and economical potential.

II. Monitoring and diagnosis systems

We encourage the development of monitoring systems using only WEIDMANN sensors

or adding other sensors at clients’ requests. These systems can be used for medium and high power
transformers. Each of these systems will also be composed of a box, mounted on the transformer,
containing all the WEIDMANN sensors and other sensors. The box will be trademarked using
WEIDMANN’s name. The analysis and diagnosis software will be supplied by us and
WEIDMANN will supply the sensors.
We encourage the manufacture and installation of two systems on two transformers which
you consider useful for publicity.

After installation, we can let these systems in service for a few months, in order to show
the clients the usability of the web application and the promoted analysis and diagnosis software.

If you agree with the ideas proposed above, I encourage you to set up a meeting to further
discuss our proposal, maybe in Switzerland next month.
