Introduction
Purpose:
The purpose of this document is to describe how the NO.2 Bus Tie Breaker (BTB2) is working.
Harbour Mode: EM’CY Generator running and U08.03:EM’CY GENERATOR ACB CLOSED activated and U08.03:ESBD BUS
TIE ACB CLOSED activated and DG1 and DG2 and DG3 are all stopped. Harbour Mode can only be selected if the
actual power consumption is less than 450kw.

Interlocks: There will be an interlock to ensure that NO.2 Bus Tie Breaker cannot be opened if:
DG1 and DG2 and DG3 are all stopped, i.e. no power on MSBD 2.
Or
SG is disconnected and not in Harbour Mode, i.e. no power on MSBD 1.
Or
PMS running in PTH Mode or PTI Mode(see document 901.168.58x)
There will be an interlock to ensure that that NO.2 Bus Tie Breaker cannot be opened if:
Blackout: In case of splitted MSBD and blackout occurs on MSBD 1(the SG side), the NO.2 Bus Tie Breaker will be forced
Closed after a time delay(adjustable 0-15 seconds)
In case of splitted MSBD and blackout occurs on MSBD 2(the SG side), the NO.2 Bus Tie Breaker remains open,
And the 1. standby DG will be started.

1.1.1 PMS in AUTO, BTB2 closed, Open command to BTB2 Not possible to open because of interlock(no power on
DG running, SG disconnected MSBD 1)
1.1.3 Open command to BTB2 Not possible to open because of interlock(no power on
MSBD 2)
1.1.4 Switch to SEMIAUTO,and start a DG The DG starts, synchronizes to the SG,and the SG
breaker closes.
1.1.6 Switch to AUTO The DGs are now running in mode load dependent
start/stop.
1.1.7 Close command to BTB2 DG synchronizes to the BTB2,and the BTB2 breaker
closes.
DG deloads, DG breaker opens and DG stops.

1.2.3 Stop horn and acknowledge the alarm. Horn stops and alarm is acknowledged.

2.1.2 U08.3: EM’CY GEN’ ACB CLOSED The text “HARBOUR MODE” appears on the PMS mimic.

2.1.3 Stop horn and acknowledge the alarm Horn stops and alarm is acknowledged.

2.1.5 Open command to BTB2 Not possible to open because of interlock(no power on MSBD 2).
2.1.6 Switch to SEMIAUTO, and start a DG The DG starts, synchronizes to the EM’CY GEN. and the DG
breaker closes.
2.1.8 Switch to AUTO The DGs are now running in mode load dependent start/stop.
2.1.9 close command to BTB2 DG synchronizes to the BTB2,and the BTB2 closes.
DG deloads, DG breaker opens and DG stops.
2.1.10 Switch to SEMIAUTO, and start a DG The DG starts, synchronizes to the EM’CY GEN. and the DG
breaker closes.
2.1.11 Deactivate U08.13:ESBD BUS TIE The text “EM’CY MODE” appears on the PMS mimic
ACB CLOSED.
2.1.12 Switch to AUTO The DGs are now running in mode load dependent start/stop.

3.1.1 PMS running in PTH Mode Open command to BTB2 Not possible to open because of interlock
3.1.2 PMS running in PTI Mode Open command to BTB2 Not possible to open because of interlock
3.1.3 -SG running and DG running. Open command to BTB2 Not possible to open because of interlock
