A subsystem may be down by the failure of the FAN signal line and FAN unit failure,
because both controllers blockade occur with the following WEB message.
WEB message: I5YY00 ENC error inf[PKERR,code-XX]

With all the following conditions met, the phenomenon may occur.
1. FAN failure occurs
2. The connector failure of FAN signal line occurs in FAN
Due to the connector failure of FAN signal line in FAN

The parameter "Data CMD Max Time" etc. in "Tool-Performance-Output File" of
Storage Navigator Modular not updated when True Copy remote replication or True
Copy Extended Distance enabled. And the all parameters which are not updated are
"Data CMD Max Time", "CTL CMD Max Time" of Port Information, "Read CMD Hit
Max Time", "Write CMD Hit Max Time", "Read CMD Miss Max Time", Write CMD
Miss Max Time", "Read CMD Job Max Time", " Write CMD Job Max Time", "Data
CMD Max TIme" of LU Information.

With all the following conditions met, the phenomenon may occur.
1. True Copy remote replication or True Copy Extended Distance is enabled
2. The parameter "Port information" or "RAID Group/Logical Unit Information" in
"Tool-Performance-Settings" of Storage Navigator Modular is enabled
3. "Tool-Performance-Output File" in Storage Navigator Modular is executed for the
subsystem in local site of True Copy remote replication/True Copy Extended Distance
4. User operation same as (3) is executed again without shutdown of subsystem

4. Command was accepted from the FC interface while processing the ISCSI time-out

Intermixture of Fibre Channel and ISCSI
Pair operations such as splitting, swapping, and deleting from S-VOL, fails if the
arrays whose max number of supported remote replication pairs, True Copy Remote
Replication or True Copy Extended Distance, are not the same.
In case of CCI, the following codes generated.
Sense Key/Code(Detail) = 5/961C(0018) or 5/961C(0019)

1. With all of the following conditions met, pair split command will fail.
(a) The LUN for S-VOL is over the max number of replication pairs supported by the
array where P-VOL resides
(b) Pair split is executed
2. If all of the following conditions are met, pair split –R command will fail
(a) The LUN for S-VOL is over the max number of replication pairs supported by the
array where P-VOL resides
(b) Pair split –R is executed from an horcm instance of P-VOL
When remote replication pair operations such as splitting, swapping, and deleting from
S-VOL, are tried, microcode is supposed to check only the LUN within the array
whether they are equal to less than the max number. But, the microcode incorrectly
checks the following cases:
1. When splitting pair, it checks if S-VOL is equal to or less than max number
2. When swapping pair, it checks if P-VOL is equal to or less than max number
3. When deleting pair from S-VOL, it checks if P-VOL is equal to or less than max #

1. The uncorrectable read error occurs
The controller block occurred when a collectable read error block were read. Because
the LA error occurred because cache Hit/Miss was misjudged, the undefined data
copied between controllers.

When the uncorrectable error is detected in online verify, HDD is blockaded by
detecting an unjustified LA error

accesses an illegal address area

Data reliability improvement
"Data transfer length inconsistency error" in a write operation to a FC HDD, causing
possible data inconsistency.
High
With all the following conditions met, the phenomenon may occur.
1. The FC HDD has some unstable behavior and “Data transfer length inconsistency
error” occurs in the FC HDD
2. The FC HDD responds normal end condition without the data transfer error
3. The microcode detects that the remaining counter of the transfer data is “zero” in the
case of (2).
RSD considers that the occurrence rate is very low, because RSD has never
experienced such a failure phenomenon ever before.
Due to code bug while in recovery process of “Data transfer length inconsistency
error" which is in the write operation to an FC HDD.
