HBO set to release new Game of Thrones spin-off: Robert’s Rebellion

New York, NY. (Feb. 7, 2019). Home Box Office is releasing a new Game of thrones prequal
centered around Robert’s Rebellion in Westeros. Creators of original series David Benioff and
D.B. Weiss collaborated with George R. Martin to produce the new spin-off.

Filming has begun in Canada, Croatia, Malta, Morocco and Northern Ireland. Fans should expect
to see new locations as well. “Robert’s Rebellion” will have a whole new cast, with some of the
same characters as younger versions. Notable actors and actresses joining the show are Chris
Hemsworth as Robert Baratheon and Alicia Vikander as Lyanna Stark.

“Robert’s Rebellion” has never before seen battles and story lines of Westeros under the rule of
King Aerys. The movie takes place about 17 years before the original series. The timeline of the
rebellion take place for one year. Fans will see life in Westeros before the rebellion through the
crowning of King Robert. Expect lots of battle scenes.

George R. Martin is the writer of the GOT book series “A Song of Ice and Fire.” He also helped
write the script for the GOT series.

“I am so excited to share this new installment for the series,” Martin said. “Fans will get a new
in-depth view of Westeros and gain new insights into “Robert’s Rebellion” as well as be
introduced to new characters.”

Chris Hemsworth is an actor of great renown. Some of his previous work include being Thor in
Marvel Studio movies. He also starred as Captain Mitch Nelson in “12 Strong.”

“I cannot wait to be a part of the Game of Thrones franchise,” Hemsworth said. “I loved reading
the books and I was an avid watch of the series. I am so excited to be able to contribute to this
new project and portray Robert Baratheon.”

Expect the new project to be released any time after 2022. HBO plans to release a trailer for
“Robert’s Rebellion” in June 2021.
