Experiment # 02

Behaviour of BJT as An Amplifier

Component/Apparatus:
Resistors 2K, 1M
Transistor 3904
Multimeter, Batteries, Breadboard, Wires

AC Supply, Function Generator

0.1uF capacitor

Procedure:
1. The configuration of transistor (3904) should be of COMMON
EMIITER. Connect the resistor of 2K to the Collector.
2. Connect the resistor of 1M to the Base.
3. Connect the 0.1uF capacitor and ac supply to the Base.
4. Connect base and collector in series with 12v vcc.
5. Connect all the components on the bread board according to the
given circuit.

INPUT 20.3V OUTPUT 21.6V

CONCLUSION:
In this experiment, we learned what a common emitter amplifier is and how it
works. We analyzed a common emitter amplifier and find out the different
biasing points and AC and DC parameters of the circuit. The values obtained
were very close to the actual value and varied very slightly. All the values we
obtained were within range of what we were expecting and the slight variations
can all be attributed to uncertainties.
