TITLE:
ANALYSIS OF SLIDING FAILURE OF DAM OUT OF CANDLE WAX

MAIN OBJECTIVE:
The activity aims to familiarize the concept of dam, the forces acting on it and the sliding
failure of the candle wax as a dam.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- To understand the concept of dams using candle wax by experimentation.
- To demonstrate and determine the forces acting on the candle wax as dam.
- To determine the height of water the candle wax will fail in terms of sliding.

METHOD OF ANALYSIS:
With the concept of hydrostatic forces on a dam, we are able to determine the sliding
failure of the dam.
