Who needs keys anymore!?

So last week I went camping up in the Poconos with my family. We took our family RV and set off on our
adventure up into the mountains. Now a day in modern society, everything is connected to technology. I
bought this great new product called the CampSafe electronic lock. This lock is great because it does not
need its’ own power source, it connects to the RV’s battery. It also has the option to be upgraded so that
in case of emergencies it can be solar power operated for those who forget to turn their lights off and
kill the battery.

Now I would say I am a pretty organized person but sometimes I get a little frazzled and forget things
such as my phone or my keys like last week. My family and I all went out to go fishing and I was in
charge of holdings the keys to the RV. Usually, I always have them in my pocket, but I was in a rush to
get the good fishing rod and I forgot to take them off the counter. We all enjoyed our fishing trip and
when we returned to put back all the equipment so we could get changed to go get dinner, my mother
asks me, “Nick, where are the keys?” At that moment I reach into my pockets and have the deer in the
headlight’s moment. My eyes became the size of bowling balls and my response was “I left them inside
the RV.” Now the RV was locked and there was only one key to it which means without the key we are
out of luck. Thankfully the lock has its’ own app for IOS and Android phones so you can unlock it with
the fingerprint recognition function on your phone that you use to enter your phone. I took out my
phone and within less than a minute we were all able to go inside and see those glorious keys on the
counter. Let’s just say that I was not allowed to hold the keys for the rest of the trip.

Another great feature of the lock having its own app is that you can use it on Apple Watches, Samsung
Gear, Garmin wearable devices, and some Fitbit models. Since I wear my watch all the time and it has its
own, cellular plan I don’t feel the need to carry my phone with me if I’m running into the store or when I
am spending time with family and we are all together so no phones are needed. It’s also great if you
leave the phone in the locked RV as well as the keys. This electronic lock app also has the option for the
main user to invite other users so they can access the lock on their phones. So if my mom went back to
the RV before we had the fiasco of me not having the keys, I could invite her on the app to be able to
have access to the lock and there would not be any problems. It also gave my mom an extra piece of
mind because if we were to forget to lock the door, we could just do it from our phones and there would
not be the hassle of going all the back to lock the door then return to continue what we were originally
doing.

This electronic lock has been such a great help with ease of access to the RV. They make locks of the
same function for homes, but the prices are ridiculous. The CampSafe electronic lock is not a totally
expensive piece of equipment like similar products out there on the market. I highly recommend this for
anyone else who does a lot of traveling and wants an extra piece of mind for safety.
