RE: Complaint Against Ma’am Joyce Cobebe

Dear Dr. Bautista:

Good day! We are writing to make a formal complaint against the behavior of our
Philippine Popular Culture (GPPC) professor Ma’am Joyce Cobebe because of the
following reasons:

1. Some of our block mates still don’t have a prelim grade and these students
already did a lot of follow up to our professor but there is no progress.
2. Almost all of us had a low grade this midterm and some failed this subject without
any knowledge how did she computed our grades because she was not returning
back our activities and quizzes. We already asked her a multiple times for the
breakdown of our midterm grade but she can’t grant our request although it is our
right to know our scores so that we could double check if her computation is
right.
3. She was also not listening to her students during reports. She was also not
watching our performance, which is a requirement in the subject. She was just
using her phone while her students are presenting a performance task. She even
didn’t finish watching the performance of the last group because she said it was
already time so she just walked out of the room. (We have a video that she was
not watching our performances and she was just using her phone.)
4. She also said a bad word to one of her students, who is just answering her
question, while we are having a class.
5. She is not also giving a proper lecture to our class, even handouts or reading
sources were not given before the examination. She is just killing the time
sometimes by giving an activity with no exact instructions and she will just sit and
use her phone.
We already want to complain her after the prelims regarding the reasons mentioned
above but our block thought to give her another chance but there was no progress to
her behavior as a professor instead, she showed us her worse side.

We, the students of GPPC 1569, are looking forward to resolve these problems and we
would appreciate it. If necessary, we want our names or class code to be confidential so
that she could not get mad at us or give us consequences because we reported her
behavior. Thank you so much and God bless!

Sincerely yours,

Students of GPPC – 1569
