We are pleased to provide this proposal to undertake the below works at Zone 1, Mannum Solar Farm,
MANNUM, SA 5238.

The aim of the investigations will be to identify the extent of the shallow rock which was encountered
during the FMG investigations dated December 2018. The pull out tests will verify the assumed
geotechnical strength parameters for detailing pile sizes.

The attached FMG drawing 236976-01 shows the inferred extent of shallow rock based on the current
investigations.

Some shallow rock was identified in the balance areas of the site. The additional investigations would
be sufficient to include these areas.

Prior to the investigations FMG will contact the property owners and tenants to let them know we will
be attending site for the investigations.

Proposed scope
Our proposal includes the following scope of services. If you wish to adjust this scope please contact
this office prior to accepting this proposal:
Site investigation
• Mobilisation to and from site
• One day drill rig hirage to allow for 6-10 holes to check depth of shallow rock
• Eight pull out tests
• Geotechnical logging of boreholes in accordance with AS1726-2017.
Reporting
• A brief geotechnical report to confirm the depth of shallow rock
• Results of pull out tests

Proposed schedule
Works will commence upon receipt of the signed Client Authorisation Form. We propose the following
schedule:
• Week 1: Engage contractors
• Week 2: Undertake investigations
• Week 3: Submit report.
Program will be subject to availability of contractors. FMG would be able to make an immediate start
on return to work in the New Year. Our office opens on 14/1/19.

Exclusions and assumptions

The following are excluded from this proposal:
• Site meetings
• Inductions and permits required for completions of works. Inductions (both online and in
person) taking longer than 20 minutes will be charged at additional hourly rates
We have based this proposal on the following assumptions:
• Uniform soil conditions on site. If site conditions are highly variable further testing may
be required
• Information as provided to FMG
• Suitable site access is available for investigation equipment
• No materials will need to be moved to access test locations
• No allowance has been made for weather delays.
Please note that during site works we can offer to conduct geotechnical supervision carried out at
hourly rates, please contact us for details.

Fees
We propose a fee of $10,900 (excluding GST) to undertake the works described in this proposal. The
details are outlined in Table 1.

Any additional works may be undertaken subject to a written variation. Table 2 outlines the hourly
rates to be applied to any variations.

Prices and rates are commercial in confidence. Please seek FMG Engineering’s approval if you intend

Please be aware that FMG offer a full range of geotechnical services including but not limited to:
• Full geotechnical site investigations
• Construction supervision and ‘ad hoc’ geotechnical advice
• Foundation and structural design.

Contract
Works will be conducted in accordance with FMG Engineering’s Standards Terms of Engagement, a
copy of which is attached.

To accept this proposal please complete and return the attached Client Authorisation Form. This can
be accompanied by a purchase order, however a purchase order alone may not be deemed as
accepting the fee proposal. Please note that if you are acting on behalf of a third party who will
ultimately be responsible for payment of the account, they will be required to complete the Client
Authorisation Form.

Terms of payment
As Canadian Solar (Australia) Pty Ltd has an approved credit account in place payment will be in
accordance with the agreed account requirements.
