Dear Cllr Goodfellow, Cllr Henderson and Cllr Findlay,
LIME GROVE COMMUNITY ASSET TRANSFER REQUEST
I understand that the officers of East Lothian Council have turned down the request for a Community Asset Transfer (CAT) of Lime Grove and this refusal is to be reviewed by the elected officials. I would like to support the CAT and I dispute the fact that the proposed Community Hub would not promote or improve economic development, regeneration, public health, social wellbeing, environmental wellbeing or any other benefits. It would be of significant benefit to the town and the surrounding area in all these matters. I would also dispute that there is not enough community support. This project has a very high level of support. I, therefore, urge the elected members to support the Community Asset Transfer of Lime Grove.
