Which means all pets that are groomed will look and feel awesome. The Business concept sets
them apart from the competitors. The Grooming Salon facility is like a real salon with themed
designed grooming tables lined up in front of mirrors .All grooming technicians have undergone
extensive training in grooming. The walls will have pictures of hairstyles of different dogs for
style reference.
PAWSOME GROOMING AND PET SALON will be a safe place for your pets to be groomed
because it does not offer veterinary services which may cause risk of your pet being
contaminated by virus. All grooming kits will be sanitized before it will be used by a new pet
client.

To keep up with the latest trend, the design of PAWSOME GROOMING SALON will be
INSTAGRAM AND FACEBOOK worthy. There will be a photo booth where the clients can have
their picture taken with their pets. Costumes will be available for more sassy photos. Picture
can be uploaded in Pawsome’s Intragram and Facebook account .Aside from the photo booth,
the client may also avail the services of our professional photographer for a pet photo shoot,
Client who opted to wait for their dogs to be groomed can avail of our mini snack bar that
serves food and drinks for owners and their pets.
PAWSOME also offers personalized pet tags, car stickers, pet clothes that matches their
owners.

techniques in the pet grooming industry. The business will always be making our customer our

Before, pet grooming was limited to high end commercial and residential area. When most of
pet owners who wants this service to be within the vicinity of their neighborhood. Our strategic
direction is to establish in a densely populated area the pet grooming that is affordable and
open to everyone even in a place not commonly known to have such service.
REASON FOR STARTING THE BUSINESS

There is a saying that “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
Being raised in a pet loving family, it is befitting to start this line of business because we
understand the needs and wants of a real pet lover. It is like being in the shoes of the potential
clients. Over the years our family treated our pets as part of our family. We have cared for them
and a regular trip to the grooming station is part of our caring routine. We as “FURPARENT”
(term used to address a pet owner) is worried that most of the grooming station serves also as
an extension of a veterinary clinic. There has been cases wherein some pets are contaminated
by virus especially most pets brought to the clinic are sick. In lieu of this concern, I feel that
there is a market for a grooming salon that offers other services other than veterinary services.
The other services I feel have a niche market is Pet photography, Most pet owners loves to take
pictures of their pets but there are very few that offers this kind of service. In this day and age
predominantly, selfies and pictures of pets dominate the instagram and Facebook timeline.
Every pet lover would love to have their pictures taken with their pets.

The full concept of the whole business is based on me and my family’s perception of what is
needed in the grooming industry as a pet lover point of view. I deemed that knowing what the
clients need, we will be able to serve them excellently. In preparation for opening this business
I enrolled and finished a certificate course in PET GROOMING at TLRCe. This has helped me in
understanding the business. I have learned the intricacies of pets, as each animals have their
own sets of needs and thus entailing particular sets of care and management.

experience to be social media savvy for Facebook, Instagram and other social media. This can
also be used as a BEFORE and AFTER the grooming pictures. The activity can also be a tool for
online marketing so others may visit the salon.
MADE TO ORDER PET ACCESSORIES AND DOG PRODUCTS -As part of the grooming services,
accessories is also made available to the customers.
Haute couture made to order clothes and accessories are part of service offered at the salon.
PHOTO STUDIO FOR PETS-You want the most adorable and awesome image of your pet. The
salon can offer pet photographers who are professionally trained to take photos of your pet.
With a professional equipment that will make the picture admirable because of the correct
lighting and equipment.

PET TAXI – We can pick up our pet customer and bring him home after the grooming.

PET BOARDING: Pawsome also offers boarding for dogs.
FOOD AND DRINKS MINI NOOK- for clients who decided to wait for their pets to be groomed,

VALUE PROPOSITION
Target market can impacted by where the business location is, since pet grooming salon is
typically in commercial and business area. We have opted to put it in a densely populated
residential area in Sampaloc, Manila. The Business location is a family owned property so it will
relieve us from the high cost of rental. The overhead cost will be lower and we can offer our

passion to always make our pets as human as possible or even more. Where our fantasy or a
make belief reality sometimes is extended to our pets. Which is a common trait of every pet
lovers. However,the concept of grooming pets has been limited to a conventional type of
grooming- which is similar to a barber shop. That cuts and shampoo dogs that is about it.
Sometimes this service is just an additional service to a veterinarian clinic or to a pet shop store.
Nothing much to make the whole session to an awesome experience with additional services to
deliver good memories and good experience both for the owners and pets. That is when our
concept comes in.

PAWSOME will be updated in the pet grooming industry so that we can have an idea of
what's new and trending in the industry. We will constantly cascade our clients with updates on
our promotional activities through different marketing channels.

The advent of portable digital technology enabled the public to play around with it that it has
become part of the culture of many to post pictures. To add value to the PAWSOME experience
we add a photo booth to market PAWSOME Grooming Salon and Photography Shop as to what

PRICING

An important and sensitive part of the business. The other two grooming stations are also
clinics that they are able to offer other premium services at a higher rate including the
medicines, supplements and other accessories. However, at 350 pesos per grooming as a basic
charge and given also the value of ambiance and unique features of the Pawsome services this
will at least be able to push more clients and drive the cost of operations down on per
customer basis likewise increase the revenue.

LOCATION
The business will be located in Balic Balic Sampaloc Manila, a highly populated area and the
mist common breed that the pet owner have are shih tzus.These breeds need to be groomed
quarterly. This is the primary reason that there is a demand for grooming services. To date,
there are two grooming services namely Barking Zoo and Animal Station. Most pet owners
concern is the risk of contamination with sick pets beng brought in the veterinary clinic so pet
owners travel 2 kilometers to avail of pet grooming salon. there is evidently a need to capture
this market.
Based on the the interview conducted in grooming stations within 2KM radius they average 8-
12 dogs on weekdays and 20 dogs on weekdays. Total average of 70-90 dogs.there is also an
average of 20 dogs a week of dogs they turned down for grooming because they cannot
accommodate the influx of volume. Peak season is April where summer starts and December in
time for the holidays.
The shop is situated in a highly populated area in Sampaloc, Manila just a few meters away
from the main commercial area. It is a family owned home that will be converted into a pet
grooming salon. This will greatly lower the overhead cost because there will be no monthly
rental.

There will be in house promotion to promote the shop like PAWSOME VIP card wherein
members gets update on the latest news about pet care, discounts and freebies.

DETAILED PROCESS THE IN AVAILING PAWSOME SERVICE

1. PAWSOME customers will fill up a customer information sheet for our database and a
service request form that has he following details:

Name of owner. Date/time

Mobile number
Name of pet
Breed color/markings
Type or hairstyle:
Special instructions
Pet condition upon acceptance
Terms and condition waiver
Claim stub number
2. The staff will turn over the pet to the assigned GROOMER and upon inspection, the groomer
will inform the customer of the time the grooming will be finished and ask the customer is f
they have specific request for their pets.

3.If the customers decided to leave their pets, they will be here informed thru SMS/TEXT if their
pets are ready for pick up.

If the customer decided to wait for their pet to be groomed, they can avail of PAWSOME mini
snacks and drinks nook while waiting.

4. After grooming, staff will turn over the pet to it's owner. The owner must present claim stub
in claiming their pet for security purposes.

5.Staff will do some suggestive selling anSales and payment will be encoded in our system.

PHOTO BOOTH

1. Customers will be asked to sign in the logbook to avail of the photo booth and props.
2. Customers have the option if they want the before and after pictures can be posted in
our Instagram and Facebook page.
3. A print out of the pictures can be availed at a minimal cost.

PET PHOTOGRAPY

Groomer- This position will have an actual grooming demonstration to assess their skills in
grooming.

Receptionist/cashier- Must have pleasing personality for selling skills and customer relations.
Must at least have knowledge in computer, Instagram and Facebook management.

If the applicants are qualified, they will be briefed of their duties and responsibilities and
discuss their compensation and incentives. If the owner and applicants are both amenable.

1. GROOMING DOG BEFORE BATH
