It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Maxon Kasumba for any teaching or education related
position. Maxon and I came to know each other very quickly and well at the beginning of the school
year in 2017-2018 when my son started attending the school where Maxon was teaching. My son has a
learning disability and has always struggled in subjects that require a lot of reading and writing. We
were left with no other options but to pull our son out of the public school system after 9th grade and
send him to a private school in hopes of salvaging his academic progress, as well as psychological health.
Maxon has been instrumental in helping mold and mentor my son and I attribute my son’s current
success in high school to Maxon.

It was apparent from the very start that Maxon truly cares about his students and he enjoys discovering
what makes each student tick and then connects with each of them individually to form a strong
relationship built on trust and respect. Maxon is extremely versatile in that he can teach students of all
ages/grades and multiple subjects, although I believe that History is his desired focus. Maxon is
passionate about helping his students learn and succeed both academically, but also personally and
socially. He has put countless hours into doing what it takes to make sure each student feels supported
and yet challenged to perform their best. Maxon is a master at balancing the need to be nurturing to
students, yet he holds them accountable for living up to the expectations set before them for his class
and the school system.

Aside from being an accomplished teacher, Maxon has a contagious positive attitude and is a team
player. It is easy to see the genuine comradery Maxon fostered with his peers and co-workers. Maxon
is dedicated, knowledgeable and a truly good human being. He will be a beneficial addition to any
organization where he can apply his talents and bring out the best in his students. With no hesitation, I
