PROJECT BRIEF

I. BASIC INFORMATION
Name of Project: Provision of additional capital for
Sewing
Barangay: Darubba

Objectives:

Target Beneficiaries: 18 Female
Budget: Php30,000.00

II. Project Rationale and Objectives


Rationale
The sewing project of Brgy. Darubba is an assisted project of FCF
Minerals Corporation which was started last 2018 with an initial capital infused
to the group amounting to Php16,314.61 from ASDMP 2017 budget. The capital
infused was used for the purchase of textiles, thread and other sewing
materials.
Some sewers has no owned sewing machine. In order for them to be
involved in sewing the accepted orders and repair jobs of the group, they
borrowed their co-members sewing machine if it is vacant. With this, the
members could not sew more because of the absence of own sewing machine.
Initially, the sewer established its market within the locality of Barangay
Darubba and nearby communities. The women involved in the sewing project
is now earning income from the business. Enhancing the quality of sewing is
needed in order to have a competitive advantage, offering an exceptional value
and create a wow factor to their products. With these, the business will be
establishing more market.
Thus, the group requested the BLGU of Darubba to allocate additional
capital assistance from ASDMP 2019 budget to be used in the procurement of
sewing machine.
Objectives
Generally, the project aims to sustain the livelihood of beneficiaries
through continues support in terms of technical and financial.
Specifically, the project sought to attain the following objectives.
a) To enhanced the quality of sewed garments and others.
b) To increase income of the beneficiary.
c) To train the beneficiary on product pricing and costing and simple
financial management.
d) To provide sewing machine.

III. Project Description


The project will be implemented initially by eighteen (18) members of the
Brgy. Darubba Sewers Association. The additional capital will be used for the
purchase of 3 unit sewing machine. The project cost including the share of
association will be paid by the beneficiaries from the income derived by the
livelihood project to the association based on the procedures and policies
agreed by the members, FCF-CRO and BLGU. The payment will be rolled over
to other interested members who wants to expand or for additional livelihood.
Management of the project will be primarily done by the beneficiary and
closely monitor by the officers of the association, FCF-CRO and BLGU to
ensure its profitability and sustainability.
IV. IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY
Towards sustainability of the project, capacitation of the beneficiary in
running the entire operation of the business is needed. In the implementation,
the members will be coach and train in terms of marketing, book keeping and
financial management.
Payback of capital shall be in the form of loan. The paid capital will be
given to the association including the agreed percentage of share from the net
income of the project for a duration of one (1) year. All the payment made by
the member shall be acknowledged by the treasurer thru the issuance of an
official receipts or acknowledgement receipt. The same shall be remitted to the
treasurer and deposited to association account in the following day after the
collection in the depository bank.
The production capital collected will be given to another member to
support their livelihood. The member shall allocate from the income an amount
for individual replication. However, the association has the option to use the
collected repaid capital for the capitalization on the expansion of the project or
another business window/s.
The association shall maintain a cash book and project account. All
collections and monies derived from the business operation shall be deposited
to the said account. No money shall be disbursed / withdrawn Board resolution
authorizing the transactions.
A monthly status report of fund utilization and re-flows shall be submitted
by the treasurer noted by the president for monitoring purposes.
