1. How long have you been staying/stayed abroad?

" I stayed there for 2 years only I just finish my contract "

2. What are your purposes in staying there?

" To earn money, so that I can give a better future for my son and also to my family "

3. Enumerate your most unforgettable experiences there. How will described them? Are they good
experiences or bad ones?

" Some are good, some are bad . Good, because I met a lot of good friends and good people when I was
in abroad and I learn a lot there especially from people in Singapore and also one my unforgettable is
when I met a good partner. Bad, because this is my first time to go abroad I don't know what are their
tradition and I feel bad when my boss is getting anger every time I do wrong things but when I get used to
it it's just easy for me to do things. "

4. How will you compare the Philippines with the countries you've been to?

" In Singapore, they have high minimum wage unlike other countries. They also have very advanced
economy and they have super advanced public transport " What I like the most in Singapore, is the people
there because they have discipline they are following the laws of their government unlike other countries
that's why Singapore is one of the clean place. "
5. What were the challenges that you have experienced in deciding to go abroad?

" Living in Singapore is a challenging experience for me because you are far from your family . And one
of the challenges that I experience is getting homesick and You will need to adapt to a new culture and a
new way of life there, overcoming the language barrier, feeling like an outsider, those are some of the
challenges I experienced. "

6. Do you still want to go back/stay abroad? Why or why not?

" No, because when you are in Philippines I am with my family. There's no place like home. It's hard
when you're abroad, I missing my family especially my one and only son. "

7. Did you met other Filipinos abroad?

" Yes, a lot. Even though I'm no longer in Singapore were still good friends. When they are in the
Philippines the visiting me "

8. How will you describe the people abroad? Are they like Filipinos?

" Singaporeans are very clean, strict and they have discipline unlike the Filipinos. But Filipinos are
happy person, Singaporeans are very serious on their work.
