Pride Line

Pride is related to self-concept. People enjoy expressing pride in something they have
done that might have gone unrecognized otherwise. Our culture does not encourage such
expressions and it is sometimes difficult for people to actually say, “I‟m proud that I….”

Ask the yourself to make a statement about a specific area of behavior, beginning with
“I‟m proud that I….”.

For example, you might say, “I‟d like you to mention something about your letter writing
that you‟re proud of. Please begin your response with “I am proud that I….” (16
statements)

1. I am proud that I study hard and doing the best I can in school so the effort and support

of my parents is worth it and be able to thanked them back someday

2. I am proud that I helped my classmates/friends on their plates when they’re struggling

to finish it before deadline

a wide variety of art media, such as chalk, pencil, ink, charcoal, crayon, pastel, water

Crafting a Personal Mission Statement

A personal mission statement explains who you are and want to be, and what you stand
for. You can use it to guide you when making choices and decisions, large and small, by
asking yourself—„Does it help me become who I want to be?‟ A personal mission
statement also helps you explain who you are to others.

A personal mission statement should answer 3 questions:

1) What is my life about—what is my life‟s purpose?

2) What do I stand for—what are my values?

3) What accomplishments am I working toward that will help me fulfill my life‟s purpose
in a manner consistent with my values?

STEP 1: CLARIFY PURPOSE AND VALUES

A. Write a list of at least 12 talents you have.

1. Cooking 7. Graphic Designing

2. Drawing 8. Playing Clarinet

3. Painting 9. Gardening

4. Communicating 10. Swimming

5. Baking 11. Biking

6. Dancing 12. Roller Skating

B. What excites you about your life? About the world? What angers you about your
life? About the world?

Things that excites me about my life is to finally use my skills to serve people or clients
with their ideal designs, I’m excited to see my finished works that satisfied the clients and
I’m excited to share it to the world to meet people with different cultures, language,
traditions ,etc. But as of now what excites me is getting the world back to normal cause I
can’t do those previous things that excites me if we can’t travel or even go outside
because of the virus.

Things that angers me in my life is when there’s no progress, the feeling that you do the
same things every single and there’s no progress, it’s frustrating. Also my self-confidence
I keep telling myself that I would show my self-confidence in every performance but then
if I’m already in the situation I still lose my confidence so I find it hard to make those
people believe me. While there’s a lot more that angers me about the world. The crimes,
corruptions, terrorist, justice system, and all the problems were facing right now. People
abuse the nature and now complaining what we’re experiencing today.

C. What would a really good day be like for you? Where would you be? What would
you do? Imagine anything—it doesn‟t have to be true.

I would be at the beach with fine weather, fresh air, and the waves touches my feet. I
would draw the beautiful landscape that I could see at that moment, it may be the sun rise
and the sun set and after that, me and my family will eat delicious foods, go swimming
together, and take some pictures. I would also go island hopping, surfing, diving and
more and then after that I will collect some sea shells and lay down on the sand, getting
relax and think that I’m in a paradise.

Crafting a Personal Mission Statement (continued)

D. Imagine that today is your 30th birthday, and a reporter is writing a story about what
you have done. What would you hope your friends, the people you work with, family
members would say about you to this reporter?

What difference would you hope you had made in their lives? How do you want to be
remembered?

I hope that I would be one of the people that inspires them and remembered by them as a
strong girl with a vigor that is contagious. I hope their life has been transformed by my
good personalities. To my friends I hope  they have learned and truly value my help and
advices to them and every time they feel down I hope they remember me how I cheer
them up and always being positive that everything is going to be okay and I’m always
here for them. Also I hope my positivism or optimism could boost people’s mood those
who are around me. While to my colleague workers, I hope my determination, my
willingness to accept new challenges, being dedicated to work, and prioritizing to serve
people would made a great impact to them. And to my family,Being happy and contented
in my life could give them a positive feeling and makes them happy too because they saw
the child they raised became a good person, together with their endless support. And I
hope I would be a good role model for all of them that motivates them and live a positive
life.

E. Imagine yourself to be 100 years old, surrounded by your loved ones who have
gathered to learn from you and your wisdom. What would you tell them is important in
life? What really matters, looking back on your life?

I would tell them to start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart. Always
look on the optimistic side of life, but being realistic enough to know that life is a
complex matter. Success is not how high you have climbed, but how you make a positive
difference to the world. Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels
loved and believes in the goodness in people .And also don’t be afraid to take new
challenges. Life is about accepting the challenges along the way, choosing to keep
moving forward, and savoring the journey. And lastly make a difference. Live a life that
matters.

2) What do I stand for—what are my values?

3) What accomplishments am I working toward that will help me fulfill my life‟s purpose

Write a rough draft of your personal mission statement in 20 words or less.

My life purpose, to love and honor God. My professional purpose is to be a designer and
a builder of a future that transcends ways of working for the wellbeing of people
throughout the world.

Keep your draft personal mission statement with you and look at it several times during
