Purpose& Objective
The Inter-Corporate Cricket Tournament is being organized for corporate organizations to:
• Offer a networking platform to
industry players
• Strengthen the liaison between

balance opportunities

Branding/Registration Fee
• PKR 1,00,000 (one hundred thousand) will be the branding/registration fee for this great sports marketing
event with captive audience
• All payments to be made by cross cheque favoring UMT, cash payments are discouraged.

ProposedProgram
• Proposed dates of the tournament are 28th March till 30th March, 2017 from 3.00 pm till 11.00 pm
• Tournament will comprise of maximum 16 teams
• Tournament will be played under flood lights
• All matches will be played at UMT Greenz

Rules & Regulations
• The tournament will be played on Pool System
• Every match will be played for five (5) overs each side except
final which will be six (6) overs each side
• 30 minutes for each inning
• There will be no Power Play
• One player is allowed to bowl two overs except in finals where
two players can bowl two overs each
• Every team should report at least 10 minutes before the starting
time
• 5 minutes’ break will be allowed between the innings
• Cricket is considered to be a game played by gentlemen,
therefore the decision of the umpire in all regards will be the final
and cannot be challenged
• Team reaching late (10 min) will be disqualified for that match
and the opposing team will get the walk over for that match
• Only permanent Staff Members can participate. No part
time/visiting/probationary members are allowed to play
• Organizing Committee will be responsible to provide Balls
(Tennis Tape Ball)
• Batting will be from one side only. KINDLY BRING YOUR BATS
• Name of the 9 players plus 2 stand-by players must reach the
organizing committee before the commencement of match
•Runners will only be allowed if the player is injured during the
game and captain of opposition team will allow
• Replacement fielders cannot bowl/bat and are only on the field
to field

• All teams will maintain their scores along with the official
scorer, and at the end of the over may confirm the total,
which will be final
• All teams are requested to wear their own company
branded T-shirts. All payers should be in proper playing kit
(joggers, trouser, jeans and t- shirt). Shalwar Kameez is not
allowed
• Free hit will be awarded in case of no ball
• The general rules will be described by the field umpires
• If any team is found guilty of playing any outsiders, the
team will be disqualified from the tournament
• All players are advised to bring employee cards during
match
• One player can only play from one side
• In case of draw, golden over will decide the winner.
• Waist high full toss will be declared no ball (either played
or not)
• A bowler will be disqualified from the match, if he will
bowl two waist high full toss in an over
• Jerk not allowed
• Spikes are not allowed
• The Pitch distance between stumps will be approx. 21
yards
• Batting team players will sit in the player’s enclosure. Only
one person per team will coordinate with scorer and
commentator
• The team list will contain the names of the players,
designation, employees code, CNIC and phone numbers
• At least, 6 players are mandatory to start a game
Rules Governing
theTournament
Format
• Each bowling team is entitled to a max of 30 min in which they
must bowl their stipulated 5over’s. In the event of less over’s being
bowled, the batting side shall be awarded 15 penalty runs.
However, the fielding side will still have to complete its stipulated
5 overs unless the opposite team is bowled out before the same.
This would apply to the team whether bowling first or second. The
over which begins even in the 29thminute of playing time shall be
considered as a valid over in the above system of penalty
calculation and there will be no penalty levied for the same. The
field umpires and scorer will be the final authority to impose this
penalty
• The field umpires will judge that the batting/fielding team is
wasting time. The umpires will impose these penalties, which will
be final upholding keeping the spirit of the game
• If the side batting first is dismissed in less than scheduled number
of over’s, the team batting second shall be entitled to bat for their
full scheduled number of overs unless a result is obtained earlier.
• From the Quarterfinals, if any match is tied or there is no
result, then the number of wickets fallen will be the determining
factor for that match. If that too is a tie, then there will be a
super over.

• Any bowler found “chucking” during the over will be warned
once and the Captain informed of the same. A repeat of the
incident will lead to his over being terminated. Another bowler of
the team can continue the over provided his stipulated number of
over’s have not been completed. The terminated bowler will not
be allowed to bowl in the remaining tournament
• No drinks intervals between matches are allowed. No drinks will
be allowed on the field without the permission of the umpires
Ground Design & Scoring
• The boundary will be 55m from the leg and straight side from
the batting wicket. The boundaries on the off side are along the
compound end
• Batsmen will change ends after the over is completed as batting
is from one side
• All extras will be applicable
• No LBW
• Any ball bowled under arm shall be considered a No Ball
• Six will be awarded on the ball directly crossing the front, leg
and off side boundary, but not on the behind of the wicket. Four
will be awarded for ball crossing behind the wicket directly.
