𝑽𝑶𝑳𝑳𝑬𝒀𝑩𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑴𝑬𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑰𝑪𝑺:

1. In this sport, the tournament is open for MEN and WOMEN categories.
2. Players must be bona fide students of SLSU – Main Campus and must be enrolled in their
respective department and team in the College of Engineering.
3. Each team can have a maximum of 15 players.
4. The complete list of players for each team must be submitted to the Chairman one day prior to
the games.
5. The Elimination Rounds will take place on Feb. 22, 2024 at the SLSU-MC Grand Stand
6. The Championship is scheduled for Feb. 23, 2024 in the same venue.
7. The team with the highest points in the Championship game will be declared the winner.

General Rules
• Teams must have at least 6 players with a maximum player of 15 students.
• The tournament will be single elimination.
• A match consists of winning two out of three games using the rally scoring system.
• A game is won when a team scores 25 points and is ahead by at least two points. No game shall
exceed 30 points. If two teams are tied at 30, the next point wins.
• Player may not hit the ball twice in succession.
• All rulings by tournament referees are final!

Starting the Game

1) The winner of the coin toss has the choice of service or side of court.
2) The team not serving first in the game shall serve first in the second game.
3) Service for the third game will be determined by a coin toss.
4) Teams change courts after each game.
5) The serving area is the entire area behind the end line between the sidelines and as deep as the
court area allows.
6) Service may be underhand or overhand.
7) Players are required to serve in order of the position from which they start the game.

No Show
• If a team is not present and ready to play by (10-15) minutes after the original scheduled match
time, the entire match will be a forfeit, the team with the complete team will be the winner for the
match.
