New Era public school offers to provide an ample opportunity and exposure for school
students to come, play, learn and experience the game in its true form and spirit.

NEPS Dwarka feels rapturous to invite you for a Under 14 Inter school cricket tournament
which will be played in a league cum knock-out basis where 16 teams will showcase their
skills and endowment for one to emerge as a winner and take home the SCL trophy.

In the preliminary stages of the league, we are inviting selected school teams which will be a
part of this league and will strengthen year after year to make it an All-India school event.
Each team will play a minimum of 7matches. A total of 59 matches will be played including
the finals. The top 2 teams on the basis of points will qualify from Group A and Group B
respectively and play Semifinals which will be played on a knock out basis. In case of same
points, net run rate will be taken into consideration for a team to qualify to next stage.The
matches will be played at NEPS Dwarka cricket field.

This Inter school cricket league will be run by an assiduous and punctilious team that will
do whatever it takes to make this event a success. The functioning would be transparent and
highly effective. The tournament has a nominal fee of Rs. _______ /- (Rupees _______only).
The entry fee can be deposited in account……………………. Or by cash at the school
reception. The cheque needs to be drawn in favor of “_______________”.

attested and stamped by the school Principal should reach us or be mailed at

RULES AND REGULATIONS


1. The tournament shall commence from Monday, 26 September, 2022.

2. Matches will be played on league-cum-knock out basis. Players who are born on or after
1st Jan, 2009 are eligible to play in this tournament. A squad may restrain up to 15 players
and one coach.

3. 2 matches will be played each day during the league stage. Only 1 single match will be
played during the knock-out stage.

4. In the league stage, each match will be of 20 overs or 85 mins per inning, whichever is
earlier.

5. A bowler will be allowed to bowl a maximum of 4 overs. There will be 2 power-plays. The
first power-play will be compulsory, for the first 5 overs and the second power-play can be
taken anytime. The second power-play will last 4 overs. During the first power-play only 2
players and during the second power-play only 3 players will be allowed outside the 30-
yard circle.

6. In the knock-out stage, each match will be of 25 overs or 100 mins whichever is earlier. A
bowler will be allowed to bowl a maximum of 5 overs. There will be 2 power-plays. The first
batting power-play will be mandatory for the first 5 overs and the second power-play can be
taken anytime between 10 to 16 overs. The second power-play will last 4 overs. During the
first power-play only 2 players and during the second power-play only 3 players will be
allowed outside the 30-yard circle.

HOURS OF PLAY: League Stage

MATCH 1: 7.45 am to 9.10 am 1st innings

9.30 am to 10.55 am 2nd innings

MATCH 2: 11.15 am to 12.40 pm 1st innings

1.00 pm to 2.25 pm 2nd innings

Knock-out Stage (Semifinals & Final)

8.00 am to 9.40 am 1st innings

10.00 am to 11.40 am 2nd innings

7. In case of a tie the result will be decided by a Super over.

8. Each wide ball bowled will fetch 2 runs for the batting team and the ball will be
considered legitimate but this rule won’t apply during power play overs and the 20th over
for both teams.

9. In case of any dispute the decision of the tournament committee shall be final and binding
upon all the teams.

10. Teams must report at the venue half an hour before the start of their match. Also, teams
can be accompanied by a ‘cheer leading group’ upto a maximum of twenty students.

11. In no case any team or its office bearer should move to the court of law against the
decision of the organizing committee.
12. Organizing committee will appoint the umpires for the matches. The umpire shall have
full authority to make the wicket playable by any means.

13. No protest against the decision of the umpire will be entertained.

14. Cricket balls will be provided by the organizer.

15. All questions regarding eligibility, entries and any other matter not covered by the rules
shall be referred to the tournament committee whose decision shall be final and binding on
all participating teams

16. Organizers will not be responsible for any injury sustained by any player during the
tournament. The coach/in-charge shall give an undertaking in this regard. Only first aid
treatment will be given to the injured player.

17. A team will be awarded 4 points for a win and 0 for a lost game.

18. Strict disciplinary action shall be taken against players/teams found guilty of
misconduct. The team can be barred for all future matches.

19. All students are liable to carry their school identity cards.

20. Refreshments will be provided to each team after the match.

21. Player of the match award will be awarded in each match.

22. On successful completion of the tournament awards for best batsman, best bowler, best
wicket keeper and best fielder will be awarded.

23. Rolling trophies to Winner and Runner-Up will be awarded
