TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES
TEAM COMPOSITION
• A team may consist of a maximum of 12 players (11 regular players and 1 libero or 10 regular players 2
liberos), one coach, one assistant coach, one trainer and one medical doctor.
• One of the players, other than the libero, is the team captain, who shall be indicated in the scoresheet
• Only the Team Captain is authorized to speak to the Officiating Officials to request for explanations and/or
clarifications. The Coach is not authorized to do so.
• Only the players recorded on the scoresheet may enter the court and play in the match. Once the coach and the
team captain have signed the scoresheet, the recorded players cannot be changed.
RULES OF CONDUCT
• Participants must know the “Official Volleyball Rules” and abide by them
• Participants must accept referees’ decision with sportsmanlike conduct without disputing them. In case of
doubt, clarification must be requested only through the game captain
• Participants must refrain from actions or attitudes aimed at influencing the decisions of the referees or
covering up faults committed by their team
• Participants must behave respectfully and courteously in the spirit of FAIR PLAY, not only towards the
referees, but also towards other opponents, team-mates and spectators
• Rude, offensive, and/or aggressive conduct by a team member towards officials, opponents, team-mates, or
spectators with be dealt with their corresponding penalties (e.g. loss of rally, suspension, and disqualification,
and/or being banned from future competitions)
• Only written protest will be entertained and must be filed and shall be recorded in the scoresheet and received
by the Volleyball Tournament Manager, MRS. GELSA G. DRAGON, before the start of every match and/or
within 12 hours after their match or in her absence, to the Officiating Officials.
• All written protests shall be deliberated and decided upon by MR. RONELL CERVERA with in twenty-four
hours from the time of protest.
SANCTIONS:
• Team Offenses –Delaying the Game –Yellow Card –Loss of Rally
• Individual Offense:
Misconduct
Rude Conduct - 1st–Verbal Warning
-2nd/Same Player –Yellow Card
-3rd/Same Player –Red Card
-4th/Same Player -Red/Yellow Card
• Offensive Conduct –No more verbal warning. Expulsion or disqualification may be given depending on the
gravity of the offense.
• Aggression -No more verbal warning. Expulsion or disqualification may be given depending on the gravity
of the offense.
