SAFETY CULTURE MATURITY MODEL ANALYSIS OF WORKERS IN PT X

1. Introduction

1.1. Purpose
The purpose of this report is to analyze the level of safety culture against unsafe actions at pt x.
this report will also recommend that according to the results of the approach to the safety culture
maturity model

1.2. Background
Behavior based safety has become a special concern in the world. because of the high number of
work accidents, according to the ILO (2013) there were recorded 250 million accidents at work.
many factors are the cause of workplace accidents. one of them is the application of a low safety
culture. and based on the accident at PT X it was found that unsafe action was the cause of the
highest accident. so that it is necessary to do a study to determine the level of maturity of the
application of safety culture and the factors that affect the level of unsafe action because there
has never been a study of this at pt x.

1.3. Method of investigation

In this study, data processing was carried out with the steps of collecting questionnaires given to
workers at PT X, and continued by entering data and then processing and analyzing using the
method of statistical analysis. where the statistical analysis used is the test of validity and
reliability where all of these variables are variable scmm.

1.4. Scope
Besides respondents profile, this report looks into three possible reasons for reducing workplace
accidents: unsafe actions, unsafe conditions, knowledge of the importance of safety culture

latar belakang
behavior based safety sudah menjadi perhatian khusus didunia. karena tingginya angka
kecelakan kerja,menurut ILO (2013) tercatat erdapat 250 juta kecelakaan ditempat kerja.
banyak faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. salah satunya adalah
penerapan budaya safety yang rendah. dan berdasarkan kecelakaan di pt x didapatkan bahwa
unsafe action menjadi penyebab kecelakaan tertinggi. sehinggga dirasa perlu dilakukan studi
untuk mengetahui tingkat kematangan penerapan budaya safety dan faktor yang
mempengaruhi tingkat tindakan unsafe action karena belum pernah ada studi tentang ini pada
pt x.

metode
dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengolahan data dengan langkah pengumpulan Kuisioner
diberikan kepada para pekerja diPT X, dan dilanjutkan dengan memasukan data lalu di olah dan
di analisis mengunakan metode analisis stasistik. dimana analisis statistik yang digunakan
adalah uji validitas dan reabilitas dimana semua variable tersebut adalah variable scmm.

Scoope
Selain profil responden, laporan ini membahas empat kemungkinan alasan untuk meningkatnya
kecelakaan kerja : unsafe action, unsafe condition, tingkat kesadaran bahwa pentingnya budaya
