No.:4400/Barh/HR-EDC/2019/ Date:15.5,2019 ‘Sub: Vocational Training at NTPC Barh - 2019 Every year, Vocational training is being imparted at NTPC BARH to Engineering students during summer vacation. This year, in order to streamline vocational training, it will be conducted from 4" June 2019 to 31* July 2019 as per the following procedure: 1. Two batches for Vocational Training of 01-month each (Maximum batch strength of 60 each) will be held at EDC Barh. 1st batch will start from 4 June 2019 and second batch from 2% July 2019 2. Applications forwarded by employees of NTPC Barh and SSC ER 1 will be considered. Further an employee of NTPC Barh and SSC ER I can forward only one application for VT 2019-20. Applicants are required to submit application as per the format (Annexure A) along with copy of request letter from college/institution mentioning the name of the student, roll number, period of training required, Branch, Semester to EDC, NTPC Barh, by dates 23rd May 2019 and Sth June 2019 for VT Batches of June 2019 and July 2019 respectively. 3. The final list of selected candidates will be announced on 24'* May 2019 and 6" June 2019 for June and July VT Batches respectively. 4, The candidates will be selected with priority given to students studying in 3” Year, those who are natives of Bihar and those who are studying in college like IITs, NITs, other Institutes of repute or colleges located within Bihar, etc. 5. The selected candidates will be charged a non ~ refundable amount of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only). Selected candidates will have to further submit documents attached at Annexure B, C and D. These documents along with the fee will have to be submitted before commencement of VT Batch. 6. Annexure B is the format for an Indemnity Bond which is to be submitted to EDC, printed on a Rs. 10.00 (Rupees Ten only) Non- judicial stamp paper purchased in the name of the Trainee and duly signed by the trainee and witnessed by the Parent/Guardian and NTPC Employee forwarding the application 7. The student has to submit an Undertaking accepting the Terms and Conditions of Vocational Training at NTPC Barh (Annexure C). The list of documents required from students is enclosed at Annexure D. 8. Students have to arrange their own personal protective Equipments (i.e Safety helmet and Safety shoe). Trainees will have to adhere to the safety instructions and no compensation would be payable by NTPC Management, whatsoever, in case of any causality/accident/mishap/injury. 9. No accommodation will be provided to the Students by NTPC. 10. One-week class room training will be provided by our Internal Faculties at EDC ih test ofthe period in plant at different departments. jas11, Maximum Training duration for engineering students is 04 weeks. 12. During the period of vocational training, no student shall be allowed to take break to appear in examination or to attend the college. 13. Vocational Trainees must abide by rules and regulations issued by NTPC from time to time. Cooperation from all is highly solicited.
