Choir committee report 2018-2019.

Greetings in the melodious name of our triune God!

Gurukul choir committee was a newly formed committee in the recent past. Dr walotenjemen was
the faculty in-charge of the committee. With the guidence of Chaplin Rev Thomas Birla Choir
committee participated in the last rituals of Dr walo the faculty in-charge of choir committee. On 1st
August 2018 inaugration service of choir committee was held in Schwan Memorial chapel of
GLTC&RI. The inauguration service was graced with the presence of Rev.Dr. John Samuel, principal ,
Registrar Mr Livingstone Arputharaj, Chaplin Rev Thomas Birla, Thiruvalluvar Hostel warden Rev
Logan Ratnaraj, and student body general secretary Rev Roy Hession.

Events

 On 15th July 2018, choir committee led the final prosession of Dr walo in Gurukul’
 26th August 2018 the first birthday of Dr Walotemjen’s son choir committee performed
special number liked by Dr walo
 22 November 2018 Alumni meet held in Gurukul College. Gurukul college choir took part in
singing hymns and songs during the worship service and between the sessions.
 23rd November 2018 a team from ELCA conducted a special musical session in India. Choir
committee took part in this program by teaching members of ELCA a bajan.
 Since the inauguration of Choir committee on 1st July 2018, choir committee conducted a
special music class for all the members of the Gurukul community. Total 78 members of the
gurukul community participated in the music class. These classes were led by Mr
Bandangsashi Walling , Mth II.
 On 12th December 2018, choir committee led the carols of Gurukul college.

