IOT helps utilise waste water

in mall, flats
Summary: A start-up company in Bengaluru used IOT to recycle the water and
used for various domestic purposes. It is the real time monitoring of the waste
water plants and analysing the quality and trouble shoot the problems occurred
while recycling. The IOT helps the local citizens and other malls to re-use the
water. It also helped people to recognise the savings of the water.
Critical analysis: A graduate from IIT madras has actually started a start-up
called Greenvironment innovation and marketing pvt ltd where he used IOT in
the water recycling system. Majority of the malls and apartments are now using
it. Due to which fresh water consumption is halved in the malls. Especially orion
mall in Bangalore recycles 3.8 lakhs of water everyday. The recycled water is
used for the domestic purpose such as cooler tower and air conditioning system.
These recycled water is also used in gardening and flushing purpose. Though the
mall adopted the recent technologies they lack the quality management. So the
new technology came up with the quality alert and the detection of waste
impurities level. The recent updation of the system was analysing the oil content
in the water and gives a notified alarm, as the sensors are built in the each stage
of treatment. Majority of the oil is collected from the food courts of the mall.
The real time monitoring system is applied in the treatment of the water.it
comprises of real time tracking of the data and make analysis and control the
tools. Tracking information predominantly focuses on the quality, flow, energy
and other environmental indicators from the water plants.
This start-up has also come up with a minimum water challenge where it is
focusing on reduction of the water and how well we save the water for our
sustainable growth. So, that the water can be used effectively and effectiently.
