 I. INTRODUCTION

Currently education in Indonesia uses a 2013 based curriculum that aims to direct
students to be independent, creative and innovative. One of the subjects namely
Indonesian Language uses the 2013 curriculum in its learning.

As for one of the material in the Indonesian language class X odd semester is the
Procedure Text. Text procedure is a form of text that contains steps or stages the steps
taken to do something so that it can be done easily and correctly in doing it.

There are a lot of activities that must follow the procedure so that these activities
run smoothly and without obstacles that will make the activity wrong or fail.

II. CONTENT

PROCEDURE OF MACHINE AND INSTRUMENTS IN HOSPITAL

Text procedures are a form of text that contains steps or stages that must be fulfilled
in carrying out an activity so that these activities run smoothly and without obstacles on a
regular basis which can hamper the activities carried out even to failure.
There are many activities around us that must be carried out according to the
procedure. If we do not follow the procedure, the expected goals are not achieved and we can
be said to be people who do not know the rules.
But these steps cannot be reversed. The procedure text is also divided into simple
procedure texts and complex procedure texts. A simple text procedure that is text that
contains brief steps and is usually not understood by the reader. While the text of complex
procedures is text that contains steps that are complete and directed so that they can be easily
understood by the reader.

A. A procedure text is arranged in a structure that is:

 GOAL
Contains the purpose of writing a procedure text that is made and in the form of the
final result to be achieved from making the procedure text, so that the reader is more
interested and more understanding by reading the text of the procedure.

 STEPS
The steps are ways or paths that must be taken or done to achieve a goal of doing
activities based on the text.

 CONJUNCTION
Conjunctions or conjunctions are words or phrases that connect two equal units of
language: words with words, phrases with phrases, clauses with clauses, and sentences with
sentences.

 INFORMATION TIME
Time information is information that shows when a phenomenon occurs in a sentence or
text.
SAMPLE TEXT PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE FOR GIVING OXYGEN

PROCEDURE

 Indication
This therapy is performed on sufferers:
- with anoxia or hypoxia
- With paralysis of respiratory devices
- During and after general narcose
- Get pulmonary trauma
- Suddenly shows signs of shock, dyspnoea, cyanosis, apnea
- In a coma

 Preparation
1. Tools:
- Oxygen cylinders and their contents
- flow meters
- humdifier
- Mask or nasal prong
- Connecting hose
2. Patients
- Patients are given an explanation of the actions that will be carried out
- Pendrita placed in the appropriate position

 Working Precedure
1. The oxygen tube is opened and inspected for contents.
2. Wash hands before and after carrying out the action.
3. Connect the nasal prong or mask with an oxygen hose to a moisturizing bottle.
4. Attach to sufferers.
5. Adjust the flow of oxygen as needed.
6. After administration no longer needed to remove the nasal prong or mask from the
sufferer.
7. The oxygen tube is closed.
8. The patient is tidied up again.

III. CLOSING

In making or reading a procedural text, you should make or read the text of the
procedure in a complex type of text procedure. Because the text is a complex procedure, it
clarifies things in order and clearly, so that it can facilitate us in carrying out an activity.
The text of a simple procedure is that the text is only composed of a few steps so
that it cannot be understood by the reader. While the text of complex procedures is text that is
composed of many steps and whose arrangement cannot be changed so that it is easily
understood by the reader.
