Measure some parts of the body using the metric system.

Tape measure

Procedures:

1. Ask a group mate to use the tape measure to measure your height, head circumference (just above the ears
and eyebrows), neck, chest, waist, hips, length of foot, dipa (distance from the tip of the right hand to the tip of
the left hand when both arms are outstretched), right wrist, left wrist, dangkal (distance from the tip of the
thumb to the tip of the middle finger when the hand is fully extended), and reach (height from the foot to the
tip of the middle finger when extended above the head). All measurements must be in centimetres (cm).

2. Compare your measurements with those of your group mate.

3. Compute for the average measurements of the boys and girls in the class.

4. Compare your measurements with the average measurements of the boys (if you are a boy) or of the girls (if
you are a girl).
