Scope and Delimitation

This study designed to determine: (1) the reasons of low academic performance of Grade
11 STEM B2 students in mathematics (2) to ask the opinion and perspective of the Grade 11
STEM B2 students towards mathematics subject (3) the attitudes, behavior and interest of the
students in studying mathematics.

The interview has a subjective question to be asked to the respondents in order to know
the opinion and perspective of the students.

The subjects for this study are the 31 Grade 11 STEM B2 students from Asian
Development Foundation College who are described as one of those students experiencing of
having Low Academic Performance in Mathematics. The researchers choose the Grade 11
STEM B2 students from Asian Development Foundation College because they have the
characteristics for the needed respondents.

This study did not aim to show all predictors that affects the student low academic performance
in mathematics.

The researchers will use interview and ask subjective questions in order to know the perspective
of the respondents and the negative experience of the students in the mathematics subject.
