Abstract

This descriptive-correlational study aimed to examine the Recreational Physical Activity

and Job Satisfaction of the employees of the State University in Negros. The study aims
to propose an enhancement on the existing wellness programs through its assessment of
the current level of employee recreational physical activity and job satisfaction. A
researcher-made questionnaire inspired in the Borg’s scale of perceived exertion and
Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) 2016 survey result in job satisfaction
contributors. The results showed moderate extent of recreational physical activity and an
average time spent on these activities of 1.39 hours per week. Also, it states that the level
of job satisfaction of the employees of the State University in Negros is 3.21 which is
translated to High Satisfaction. Furthermore, it was found that employees of the State
University in Negros were least satisfied on the variable Trust between employees and
senior management. While they were most satisfied with their Job Security. Presentation
and analyses of data included the groupings of the population according to demographics
age, sex, and length of service.
