Chapter 1 Introduction
Nepal is an agriculture country where most of the people are dependent upon agriculture for
their livelihood, 29.52% of National GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is contributed by
Agriculture sector in FY(Fiscal Year)-2018.

Poultry farming is the process of rearing domestic birds at home. It is a fast way of earning
money within a short period of time. Many people are attracted to this business due to
maximum earning within a short period of time. Due to this, people start to do poultry
farming by consulting with friends, family and as a family business. Most of the poultry
farmer does not have proper knowledge related to poultry farming and their diseases.

For decreasing the gap of knowledge of poultry farmer. The platform needs to provide
knowledge. Television, newspaper and website is not an effective platform to provide
information related to poultry farmer. The mobile application may be a more effective
platform than other means of the platform that can run both online and offline. It would be
in their pocket as well as they can access it anytime.

This application would provide general information related to poultry farming and onsite
training related to poultry farming. Through this application, the user can also view the
information of the poultry product available inside Nepal and information related to that
sellers. They can also get the information related to poultry diseases in this application. This
application informative application which provides most of the information related to
poultry farming.
Newness of Product

Poultry and Product information is the mobile application. In Nepal, There are different
website for poultry farming related information but there is few mobile application which
provide information related to poultry farming. So, the newness of system is mobile
application that can run offline or online. User can get general information of poultry
product seller and poultry product available in Nepali Market. They can also view the videos
related to poultry farming training.

Problem Addressed/ Opportunity, benefits or impact created

Most of the farmer do not have knowledge related how to surf information related to poultry
farming through website. At least one member of poultry farmer family have one smart
phone. By installing this application in their mobile, user can easily get information related
to poultry farming. This way, they can easily gain information related to poultry farming in
the tip of the fingers than other means of the information platform. This will also increase
the knowledge of poultry farmer related to poultry farming as well as they can have
information related to poultry disease.
