Narrative Report on DepEd 121st Century Foundation Day

The Department of Education (DepEd) enjoined schools and offices as well as its personnel to take part
in activities related to the agency’s 121st Foundation Day. Education Secretary Leonor Briones, in DepEd
Memorandum No. 77 series of 2019 issued to undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, bureau service
directors, regional directors, schools division superintendents and heads of public and private
elementary and secondary schools, announced the celebration of DepEd’s 121st Foundation Day on
Friday, June 21.

As part of this, the Bulua Central School joined the said celebration held on Friday. It was happened early
in the morning at the center of flag pole. The celebration was perfectly participated by teachers, pupils
as well as parents. Everyone was pleased to voice out again and again these phrases " I love DepEd, I am
forever grateful to DepEd and I am thankful to DepEd!!".

It was announced by our principal Duque A. Caguindangan that the with the theme, “DepEd Para sa
Pilipino,” Briones said that the celebration is pursuant to Administrative Order No. 322 s. of 1997 issued
by former President Fidel V. Ramos that recognizes June 23, 1898, as the Foundation Day of the
Department.In order to “promote the public awareness” of the event, the DepEd Central Office enjoins
all personnel, offices, and officials at the regional, schools division offices and schools to “produce
information and communication materials” by hanging of DepEd 121st Foundation Day official streamer
in all offices and schools and wearing of blue shirts/polo/blouses on June 21, 2019 “in support of the
celebration.”
