When computer program is used computer program shall be reviewed against latest edition of
ASME code and verification report shall be prepared
1. Comparison with long hand calculations or sample calculations given in ASME PTB-4(Example
problem manual)
2. Comparison with results of alternate calculations
3. Comparison with another verified program
Design Changes:-
1. Engineering Change note (QCM/F/02) used for any change to drawings A max of 5 can be
issued after that we have to go for next revision. Whenever ECN affects BOM or TDC we have
to re issue TDC& BOM. ECN we have to take AI approval.
Control of documents
1. Drawings along with master list of documents (QCM/F/34) through document transmittal to
(QCM/F/01) to production manager, production engineer (2 copies), QCE, Purchase.
2. Draftsman shall distribute photocopies of the approved drawings which are reviewed by the
AI and approved ECN’s in a controlled manner with details of distributions clearly mentioned
in the document transmittal (QCM/F/01) with control copy seal.
3. Drawing, TDC, BOM back side shall be marked with master copy.
4. OLD Drawing, BOM, TDC must be stamped OBSOLETE and retained by design.
Material control:-
1. Design engineer shall prepare BOM(QCM/F/04)& TDC (QCM/F/05)
2. All TDC shall be distributed QCE, Purchase manager and store in charge
3. BOM shall be issued to Purchase.
