and well-being.” I have met this standard by participating in and completing the activities
discussed below.
Overview/Summary of Activities
Standard Activity 4.17A – This activity was about looking at the current master schedule
feel that our schedule works wonderfully. However, I offered suggestions for more
structured time in the mornings between the times of students being dropped off and the
first class of the day, and also during grade-level advisory times.
Standard Activity 4.19C – This activity allowed me to reach out the KCS Executive

including our technologist concerning what technologies we have and how they are used.
I learned a great deal when completing activities for this standard. I learned that veteran
teachers often would actually like to try to use the new technology they are presented with, but
do not fully understand it. I also learned that teachers often feel a great deal of pressure to be on
top of implementing the newest and the best technology in their classrooms, and that it
I feel that I need more experience in creating a school schedule and analyzing how school
time is spent at other grade levels. I feel a high school and an elementary school schedule would
be far more complex than a middle school, due to the many transitions required for multiple

technology. I learned a lot from reaching out to Leah Sparks, but would like to learn more of the
specifics that go into it and who else has input on what the county needs or wants.
