This research would not have been possible without the support of many people.

This research would like to thank Valenzuela National High School for providing a lab
that is needed to make this research very successful.

The researchers would like to thank first and foremost our Almighty God for his wisdom
and showering his blessings throughout the researchers’ life.

The researchers wish to express their gratitude to their research adviser, Mr. Arvin C.
Austria who was abundantly helpful and offered invaluable support and guidance. Not
forgetting to their friends who always been there. Special thanks to Grade VII-Filament.

To the school principal, Mr. Filmore Caballero for the challenge he has given to the
researchers to conduct an investigatory project.

The researchers wish to express their love and gratitude to their beloved families; for
their understanding and endless love, through the duration of the studies.

ABSTRACT

Bananas are often referred to as "nature's perfect food" since they contain many
essential vitamins and minerals, like potassium, and come neatly wrapped in their own
protective container. Bananas can range from a bright green color to the perfect yellow
to already developing a brown spotted skin in the grocery store and people have
different preferences as to which stage is the perfectly ripe one. Fresh bananas will first
get brown spots and then get soft and turn completely brown and leak liquid when they
have gone bad. If left out long enough they will eventually turn black and grow mold.
Bananas are usually shipped green since they develop better color, texture, aroma and
sweet taste after being harvested. Placing bananas near other fruit will cause the other
fruits to also ripen faster.

The researchers conducted a product that could enhance the shelf life of the
banana and also make it ripe faster. In just short span of time you can make our
product. All you need are these blender, spoon and useless peelings of tropical fruits
like apples, bananas and mangoes. Just blender the peelings carefully and coat the
bananas and after 24 hours you can have a banana that last for 14 days. The
researchers gained the result of a long-lasting and better appearance of it.
