Aloe Vera, alcohol, lemon, and
gumamela as a fragrant sanitizer
IV Research Plan
A. Rationale
Sanitizers are one of the most commonly used hygienic products to prevent and
remove germs, viruses and bacteria in our body, especially in our hands (Mikaela
Pajares, 2015). It is more handy and convenient unlike other products that are used in
different cleaning purposes. Its fragrance is one important factor that convinces people
in to buying sanitizers. Several ingredients are used to obtain the appealing smell of
the product.
The main goal of the study is to find out if a natural product could be an alternative
and effective main component in sanitizer, other than artificial products commonly
used in them. Another goal of this study is to persuade consumers into using a natural
sanitizer, rather than using a commercial sanitizer or a toxic alcohol.
General objective:
The study will determine if lemon and gumamela can build a fragrant sanitizer and
become a main ingredient
Specific objective
To make the lemon, alcohol and gumamela is suitable for hand sanitizer
General problem
This study aims to find out if lemon and gumamela are suitable for sanitizer.
Specific problem
1. To find if there’s a difference in natural and artificial sanitizers?

D. Hypothesis
The researcher will be guided by the following hypotheses
E. Research methods
General procedure
Plant material and equipment
The gel of the aloe vera plant which will be collected at the surrounding of Bansud
Public Market, Poblacion, Bansud, Oriental Mindoro. Specimen will be identified by the
school’s researcher teacher Darwin A. Muleta for authentication. Other used materials

Most of hospital acquired infections are caused due to unhygienic condition of the
hands of both patient and the hospital staff. The common opportunistic pathogens which

The alcohol free hand sanitizer vlz. Povidine-iodine, benzalkonium choride or triclosan
have persistent antimicrobial activity for a prolonged period and claims to be effective in
killing microorganism.
The study will determine if lemon and gumamela can build a fragrant sanitizer and
