Θαρθεί καιρός…

Θαρθεί καιρός που θα αλλάξουν τα πράγματα.

Να το θυμάσαι Μαρία.
Θυμάσαι Μαρία στα διαλείμματα
εκείνο το παιχνίδι που τρέχαμε κρατώντας τη σκυτάλη
-μη βλέπεις εμένα- μην κλαις. Εσύ εισ' η ελπίδα.
Και θάρθει καιρός
που τα παιδιά θα διαλέγουν γονιούς
δε θα βγαίνουν στην τύχη
Δε θα υπάρχουνε πόρτες κλειστές με γυρμένους απέξω
Και τη δουλειά θα τη διαλέγουμε
δε θάμαστε άλογα να μας κοιτάνε στα δόντια.
Οι άνθρωποι -σκέψου!- θα μιλάνε με χρώματα
κι άλλοι με νότες.
Να φυλάξεις μονάχα σε μια μεγάλη φιάλη με νερό λέξεις και έννοιες σαν και
αυτές
απροσάρμοστοι-καταπίεση-μοναξιά-τιμή-κέρδος-εξευτελισμός
για το μάθημα της ιστορίας.
Είναι Μαρία -δε θέλω να λέω ψέματα- δύσκολοι καιροί.
Και θαρθούνε κι άλλοι.
Δεν ξέρω -μην περιμένεις και από μένα πολλά-
τόσα έζησα, τόσα έμαθα, τόσα λέω
κι απ' όσα διάβασα ένα κρατάω μόνο:
"Σημασία έχει να παραμένεις άνθρωπος".
Θα την αλλάξουμε τη ζωή!
Παρ' όλα αυτά Μαρία.

Vendrá un tiempo en que cambiarán las cosas.

Recuérdalo, María.
Recuerdas, María, en los recreos
aquel juego en el que corríamos con la posta en la mano
-no me veas a mí- no llores. Tú eres la esperanza.
Y vendrá un tiempo
en que los hijos elegirán a sus padres
no se harán por azar
No habrá puertas cerradas con abatidos afuera
Y el trabajo lo elegiremos
no seremos caballos para que nos miren los dientes.
La gente -¡piensa!- hablará con colores
y los otros con música.
Guarda sólo en una gran botella con agua palabras y pensamientos como
estos
Inadaptados-opresión-soledad-precio-ganancia-humillación
para la lección de historia.
Son, María, –no quiero decir mentiras- tiempos difíciles.
Pero vendrán también de los otros.
No sé –no esperes mucho de mí-
tanto viví, tanto aprendí, tanto digo
y de todo lo que leí sólo una cosa retengo:
“Lo que importa es permancer humano”.
¡Cambiaremos la vida!

that game, that we used to run,

Άκου, θα 'ρθει καιρός

που τα παιδιά θα διαλέγουν γονιούς
when the children will be able to choose parents,
δε θα βγαίνουν στην τύχη
they won't be out at random,
δεν θα υπάρχουν πόρτες κλειστές
there will be no shut doors,
με γερμένους απ' έξω
having reclined ones outside them
και τη δουλειά θα τη διαλέγουμε
and we will be able to choose the work
δε θα 'μαστε άλογα
we won't be horses
να μας κοιτάνε στα δόντια
so as to be checked up on the teeth.
Οι άνθρωποι, σκέψου,
People, think of it,
θα μιλάνε με χρώματα
will be speaking with colours
κι άλλοι με νότες
and others with notes,
να φυλάξεις μοναχά
only keep
σε μια μεγάλη φιάλη με νερό
in a big bottle with water
λέξεις κι έννοιες σαν κι αυτές :
words and thoughts like these :
απροσάρμοστοι, καταπίεση,
unadapted, oppression,
μοναξιά, τιμή, κέρδος, εξευτελισμός
solitude, honour, profit, humiliation
για το μάθημα της Ιστορίας
for the lesson of History.
Είναι Μαρία, δε θέλω να λέω ψέματα,
Truth is, Maria, I don't want to lie,
δύσκολοι καιροί και θα' ρθουνε κι άλλοι
the times are difficult and even more ones will come
δε ξέρω, μην περιμένεις κι από μένα πολλά
I don't know, don't expect from me, as well, too much
τόσα έζησα, τόσα έμαθα, τόσα λέω
so much I lived, so much I learnt, so much I speak out
κι απ' όσα διάβασα ένα κράτησα καλά
and from all these I've read, one thing I held out

What matters is to remain human with values
