Objectives
To provide an inclusive curriculum that promotes deep
understanding to children at the Kindergarten level
From the High Scope Website:
● To become independent, responsible, and confident problem solvers and
decision makers — ready for school and ready for life
● To gain knowledge and skills in important academic, social, emotional, and
physical domains through active involvement with people, materials, events,
and ideas
● To learn how to plan many of their own activities, carry them out, and talk with
others about what they have done and what they have learned
● To develop strong executive function and self-regulation skills that will last
through adulthood
Evaluation Strategies
● Parents will be given an Ages and Stages (ASQ) at the time of enrollment,
district wide, to learn about the child as a whole
● Students in the program will be assessed within the first thirty days with
Kindergarten Entry Record (KER)
● Students will be assessed three times throughout the year using the
COR-Ongoing Record (OR)
