Brief Description of Duties of Administrative Mentor

Delicia Allen works directly with our management company, Elite School Management, as the
President of Early Childhood. She has maintained this position for six years and campaigns for
high-quality early childhood experiences. Delicia Allen advocated for the implementation of a
hands-on Kindergarten approach, which focuses on the whole child. Previously, she has worked
in a daycare setting as a center director. These experiences have allowed Delicia Allen to
develop as a leader and form her core belief system around best practices for early childhood.
She leads the early childhood program with confidence, values, and trust, in return creating an
environment built on a solid foundation.

Description Environment
The Service Learning District is composed of three schools located within Wayne & Oakland
County, MI. It is a public school academy managed by Elite School Management. The district
first opened its doors 20 years ago, added on a second school six years ago, and the third school
in the school year 2019-2020. The district as a whole serves approximately 1,400 children,
operating from Pre-K-8th grade. The Service Learning District operates a Great Start Readiness
Program (GSRP) and invests in a hands-on, active Kindergarten program. Currently, 99% of the
children attending the district qualify for free or reduced lunch. The mission statement is “to
prepare students for academic success, lifelong learning, leadership and meaningful service to
the community.”
