with chemical compositions, the items and supplies prompt people in difficulty purchasing

some basic things that are necessary to their works. Production of ink out of Blood Berry

will somehow bide as a remedy to this problem.

Ink is a very big business. Nonstandard and standard tests determine the

characteristics of ink such as drying properties, durability and opacity are conducted.

Some of commercial inks can be dangerous to your health. In preserving natural

resources recycling materials become important. There are various types of chemical

solvents used for producing commercialized inks. However, petroleum and chemical

solvents may cause affect to health and environment as well (Adkins, 2017).

The researchers studied the pigment that extract of Rivinaberry will produce is

stable to compare the difference between the alternative ink and commercial ink. The

researchers provide new alternative ink that is affordable and not harmful to health.

Researchers emphasized on conducting a test to increase the usage of blood berry in ink

industry and then, analyzes the quality of alternative oil – based- ink compared to

commercial ink.
The creation of ink with alternative ingredients to be commercialized is a demand

for the artists, calligraphers as well as for the people. The researcher’s conceive that

the juice of the berries of Blood Berry has potentials in having an ink. The researcher’s

Ink has a big role in studying. It helps the people to write the important things in

their life. However, commercial inks are expensive and have chemicals in it. The study

seeks to answer the following questions.

Conclude if the bloodberry ink will benefit students and teachers.

Figure out the economic relationship of bloodberry as an ink.

Determine the significant difference between commercial inks and

bloodberry ink.

In order to answer the following hypotheses the researchers try to use bloodberry,

vinegar and coconut milk as an alternative ink since it has a red pigment on it.

Hypotheses

Alternative Hypothesis

There is a significant difference between commercial ink and bloodberry ink.

Null Hypothesis
Utilization of blood berry, vinegar, and coconut milk will not be effective as an

alternative ink.

one who usually needs to use inks like for their ballpens, markers, printers, and other

things that needs ink. It also focuses to lessen their expenses for buying an ink in case of

expensive or commercial inks. The findings of this study will help the surroundings to

reduce the like of wild grass and temptations of children from the blood berries because

Nagcarlan, Laguna in the year 2019-2020. This does not include elementary student.

Considering the possible effectivity of bloodberry as an ink. The information that

will be gathered will come from the given questionnaires.

Review of Related Literature

It is said that bright red bloodberry (Rivina humilis L. ,

Phytolaccaceae) is an unused forest product that can be utilized

as betalain pigments (Khan et. al , 2011, 2012) betalains are

nitrogen containing pigments that have dissimilar patterns of

coloration starting

In the modern study, betalains rich red colored Rivina

humilis berry extract was experimented for its appropriateness to

use as a food pigment. Rivina-banana spread and beverage were

ready. Colour retention (68%) was complied in only the spread

after thermal proceeding and subsequent storage at 5 degree

celcius for 6 months. Data on sensational profile and user

acceptability of the spread discovered that the extension of Rivina

berry extract did not modify comprehensive quality of the product

and it was liked by consumers. ( J Food Sci Technol. 2015 Mar ;
