Seksyon 1
Ang sumusunod ay mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas:
1.Yaong mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas sa panahon ng pagkakapatibay ng Konstitusyong ito;
2. Yaong ang mga ama o mga ina ay mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas;
3.Yaong mga isinilang bago sumapit ang Enero 17, 1973 na ang mga ina ay Pilipino, na pumili ng
pagkamamamayang Pilipino pagsapit sa karampatang gulang; at
4.Yaong mga naging mamamayan ayon sa batas.

Seksyon 2
Ang katutubong inianak na mga mamamayan ay yaong mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas mula pa sa pagsilang
na wala nang kinakailangang gampanang ano mang hakbangin upang matamo o malubos ang kanilang
pagkamamamayang Pilipino. Yaong mga nagpasya na maging mamamayang Pilipino ayon sa Seksyon 1,
Talatataan 3 nito ay dapat ituring na katutubong inianak na mga mamamayan.

Seksyon 3
Ang pagkamamamayang Pilipino ay maaaring mawala o muling matamo sa paraang itinatadhana ng batas.

Seksyon 4
Mananatiling angkin ang kanilang pagkamamamayan ng mga mamamayan ng Pilipinas na mag-asawa ng mga
dayuhan, matangi kung sa kanilang kagagawan o pagkukulang, sila ay ituturing, sa ilalaim ng batas, na
nagtakwil nito.

Seksyon 5
Ang dalawahang katapatan ng mga mamamayan ay salungat sa kapakanang pambansa at dapat lapatan ng
kaukulang batas.

INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

INTRODUCTION

Technology has always been advancing throughout the years. It has made a
big impact on people especially on lifestyle. One of the many things that are
affected in the society; having been a common source of information and
entertainment.

In our present generation, students are obsessed in using Gadgets. They


usually want to buy the latest release of these Gadgets to satisfy their desires
in terms of entertainment and getting the newest of the new. As a result,
students tend to involve gadgets in their everyday lives including in their
studies. Students tend to use up more time in using gadgets than on studying.
This apparently affects the student’s studying habits and academic
performance.

Gadgets affect the study habit of a student in many aspects. Using


gadgets a student start becoming stupid, dependable, and careless and do all
his or her work with the help of gadgets. He also becomes drowsy and wants
to do all his work in shortcut. In this age of technology no part of life is
deprived from the impact it has created on life pattern and so education is no
exception. Education has undergone a revolutionary change with students
being seen with laptops, tabs, and other gadgets.

A negative effect of these gadgets on students can be the fact that they
can become obsessive and the students can neglect everything else, like their
social life, their family and friends. Is not a bad thing to have a computer, but is
a bad thing to spend all your life in front of it pretending that everything else
doesn’t exist. Otherwise, most gadgets have positive effects because they
enable us to do things faster and easier and they are also good when it comes
to learning new things and, let’s face it, they make our life a lot easier.

Most school systems have technology standards that all students must
attain at arioso points throughout their education. Education standards are
guidelines that define the knowledge and skills students should possess
during certain points throughout an academic year _ And while the standards
differ, the expectation that today’s students need to become more familiar with
technology does not. In fact, many school Systems offer county-wide teacher
training for effective ways to implement the use of various gadgets such as
Smart Boards, Memos and Interactive Whiteboards.

School systems invest a great deal of money into these devices to


encourage and motivate educators to create interactive and engaging lessons.
Gadgets also help to make the learning environment interesting and engaging.
As we move toward a more digital society, kids are being exposed to
technology and digital devices at a young age. In exploration, we find new
techniques, new knowledge, even develop new substances, gadgets,
equipment, process or procedures, imagination and skills is being employed.

The commodities, new services, In technology are needs of man for better
fuller life which is the concern of the research. These useful arts are the
products of the technological environment and the end-user Is society in
general. ‘OFFS lawful, because it can do task in a fast way that will help
individuals to lessen their worry about managing their time to do tasks that
they’re doing and also it will help a person to do more activities or tasks in a
short period of time.

A word that best describe a gadget is that it is not only for doing tasks easy
and lessen the activities with a minimal time but also, gadgets can make the
community connected and updated. Nowadays, due to the improvement of the
technology there are lots of ways that gadgets provides us most of the
information needed in Just a click away and of course, having a gadget needs
enough resources because some of it is not budget friendly and so expensive,
because of that, people work hard and saved their money to buy these
devices that satisfies their luxurious ambitious.

In using gadgets, sometimes obsession occurs when the person is being


addicted giving so much attention to it that they thought they aren’t affecting
other sides of their life, being obsessed to gadgets especially for the
teenagers that are overly exposed to technology at their young age are
alarming and should be monitored. Gadget is one of the influential things to
teenager because of the feeling of being elite that gadgets can give to one’s
person, they feel more confident to themselves because having high end tech
products that they feel it boost their social status. Gadgets today are all
around.

Whenever you look, you find something that is made of technology that is
being used for some purpose. Gadgets made our life enjoyable and have tried
to improve the standard of living, but we use so much more to enjoy them. A
gadget can always make you feel great and better. The most important part of
gadget is that you can play with them, remained engaged with it and never
feel lonely. It has become the most faithful companion of human race today.
Gadget have become indispensable part of our lives loved by both genders In
a world that every seconds count, everyone needs something quick to cope up
with this kind of environment.

Let them do office work outside the office, submit and showcase
presentations even they are miles apart. Gadgets compile many products in
one. But over using them tends to change its usefulness to destruction,
therefore users who are experiencing addiction to gadgets seems to be more
noticeable as it greatly affects their psychological ability and of course their
social interaction that is why we made this study to figure out, how gadgets
dramatically affects the reference of the students.

RELATED STUDIES

It is difficult to imagine a modern teenager without a mobile phone or any


other gadgets. The worrying research found that 97 per cent of 11 to 16-year-
olds owns a mobile phone – eight per cent more than the percentage of adults
who own one (Dry. Emma Bond, 2009). Gadget addiction is caused by the
desire to get more freedom and the attraction of the gadget applications.

Subsequently, this addiction may cause unhealthy lifestyle among teenagers


and affect their academic performance. The first cause for gadget addiction
among youth is the desire to get more freedom.

The reason for this situation is video games provide a window to another
world, where the person playing the games holds all the power and decides
the fate of all the virtual lives. This is in contrast to the real world which is full
of stress, failure, bullying and conflicts. In other words, freedom that comes
from the video games helps teens feel more powerful and confident. Now we
are living in a new millennium where 97 percent of children ages 12 to 18
would prefer to play videotapes on laptop, Play Stations or Game.

ASSUMPTIONS AND HYPOTHESES

We expected that our survey might the knowledge of this Grade 10 Students.
For our study, we really expect many of them will response this Questions if
they use gadgets while having an academic performance? But we can't
answer them because totally we didn't know their opinions base of our study.
The worked of ours that they can get some lesson but were not saying that we
will get more "yes" for our topic. We expect have the edge over "no". For now,
we don't know about it because we're just getting started. We and my group
talked that we are expecting that our survey will help the Grade 10 Students
especially 7, 8, and 9. More like of us will having a survey for the Grade 10
Students that for us it's really helpful because we know what is the Cause and
Effect of Using Gadgets While Having a Discussion. So we really expect that
this will help for the students like us and we expected more than that. We
hope that they'd change because more of them will affected for using gadgets.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

This study focused on the Cause and Effect of Using Gadgets While Having
an Academic Performance Among Grade 10 Students in Rizal High School -
SY 2018-2019. The respondents of the study were composed of 100 sheets of
paper randomly selected students in Rizal High School Grade 10 students.
The results of this study is applicable only to the respondents of this studies
with our topic in Cause of Using Gadgets at Academic Performance should
not be used as a measure of the effect of mentoring program. The students
who do not belong to the population of this study.

The researches considered working on this study to find out if there's an


effect among Grade 10 students in RHS. And to assess the effectiveness of
the institutions mentoring program with regard to the development of using
gadgets while having an academic performance specifically enhancing the
ability of the mentees to withstand and overcome adversities.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

•Academic Performance -is the extent to which a student has achieve their
educational goals it is represented by Cumulative GPA.

•Devices--a thing made or adapted for a particular purpose, especially a piece


of mechanical or electronic equipment.

•Effects -it is the positive or negative effects influenced by gadgets.

•Gadgets -refers to a small electronic devices.

•Mobile Phone i̶ s a wireless handled device that allows users to makes calls
and send text messages among other features.

•Smart Phones ̶- are a handled device that integrates mobile phone


capabilities with the more common features of a handled computer.
