OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course the students should be able to:

LESSON ONE

1.1 INTRODUCTION

In Genesis 1:26 and 2:18 we discover that one of the main

purpose God created man is for relationship. All through
scriptures, we see God in relationship with both man and nation.
Therefore, we can say that God intend for us to have
relationships. So, it is our duty to ensure that our relationship
reflects the glory of God.

1.2 DEFINITION

Build: to develop. To put together, to form, to create, to make

Godly: God like, nature of God, God-kind of life

Relationship: the way in which two or more people, groups,

countries, and so on; talk to, behave toward, and deal with each
other.

Therefore, building Godly relationships is when two or

more people come together, behaving in a manner that
reflects the nature of God.

(Pastors, Sunday school teachers etc) 2 Chron. 20:20.
They have a God-given spiritual authority and power that we
need to succeed in life.
ii) Relationship with School teachers.
Heb 13:17. God has placed them over us to help us
in our learning and mastery of knowledge needed by
us later in life.
E) Relationship with peers. Amos 3:3. Prov 27:17.

1.4 WHY GODLY RELATIONSHIP.

God’s will for our relationship with people is perfection and

edification. Relationships are not meant to ruin us neither
separate us from God. On the contrary, our relationships are
supposed to make us holy as God is Holy. (1Peter1:15-16).The
following are reasons for Godly relationships:
4
1. For comfort and edification (1Thess5:11).

2. To encourage one another (Heb10:25).

3. For preservation. 1 Sam 20:12-16, 35-42.

4. To live a life of holiness.2Cor6:14-16.

Christians.Ecc4:9-12

1.5 HOW TO START A GODLY RELATIONSHIP WITH PEERS
