Fall 2019 Greiner Honor Band Sectional Schedule

In order to prepare for Dallas ISD All-City /Region Band auditions and get extra help:

Weekly section rehearsals (small group music practice) will begin this TUESDAY,
AUGUST 20 through November 1, for all Honor and select Symphonic band members.
Sectionals allow Mr. Morgan and Mr. Bremer a chance to give you more personalized feedback
and allow you to gain experience for solos and smaller ensembles. REMIND US TO EXPLAIN
“ALL CITY” AND “ALL REGION.”

Morning Schedule:
7:50 am – 8:15 am each day, Band Hall open for individual practice

After school Schedule:

MONDAY 3:50 pm – no later than 5 pm, (FRIDAY AS MONDAY SUBSTITUTE- flex day):
Saxes with morgan, Horns w/ mr. Bremer
TUES 3:50 pm – no later than 5 pm,: trumpets WITH MR. B, clarinets/bass cl with
morgan
WED 3:50 pm – no later than 5 pm,: Percussion WITH MR M, all low brass Not
Auditioning WITH MR. B
THURS 3:50 pm – no later than 5 pm: flutes WITH MR M, Low Brass (all city music)
WITH MR. Bremer
Friday pm: Monday flex day, or Other ww’s with Morgan.

Share this information with your parents and guardians. Each sectional counts as a MAJOR
test grade!

Challenge: If you can play ALL 7 Major Scales and Chromatic, YOU HAVE
EARNED A FREE PIZZA PARTY AFTER SCHOOL.

If you earn membership in the Dallas ISD All-City Band, THEN YOU HAVE
EARNED A FREE PIZZA PARTY DURING THE SATURDAY REHEARSAL AT ALL-
CITY later in the year.
