1. Verbal Warning: The teacher provides a verbal reprimand/reminder to student.
2. Written Conference Form: The teacher provides an additional warning in written form and the
student should fill out this form and return it to the teacher.

2016-2017 ABSENTEE POLICY
LATE / INCOMPLETE WORK
My expectation is that ALL assignments be completed
to a level of proficiency (70% or higher) and turned in
on time. If an assignment is turned in but proficiency is
not demonstrated, the assignment will be returned to
the student and the work must be completed / redone
until proficiency is achieved.
Late 1 day- 10 points will be deducted
Late 2 days- 20 points will be deducted
Late 3 days- 30 points will be deducted
Late 5+ days- a 50 will be issued for the assignment
Students will have 2 weeks to complete the late
assignment for partial credit, not to exceed 50%.
Parents will be contacted for late and missing work via
email or ParentSquare.
Incomplete work will not be accepted
TECHNOLOGY
Chromebooks will be utilized on a weekly basis. Students will utilize the Chromebooks
for educational purposes only. They will complete assignments on various online resources.
PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is the taking ideas and writings of another and
passing them off as one’s own. In this class, plagiarism
includes…
1. turning in another’s work as one’s own
2. copying work from a friend before class (or while in another
class)
3. copying an author’s exact words and passing them off as
one’s own
Students caught plagiarizing will be given a ZERO for the
assignment and parents will be contacted.

*It is the student’s responsibility to check the
absent folder to find any assignments missed.
* It is the student’s responsibility to obtain
assignments, notes, and any other pertinent
information that is missed during an excused
absence. *Extensions to turn in missing work
are based on when the student returns to
school, not when he or she collects the missing
work.
*If a student fails to collect or turn in their
missing work, their grade will reflect their
neglect to gather needed assignments. Point
deductions will apply.
GRADING
Grades will be based on a
combination of class work,
quizzes, tests, papers, projects &
participation. Letter grades will
be determined as follows:
A 90-100%
B 80-89%
C 75-79%
D 70-74%
F 0-69%
Any assignment with a grade below a 70% can be
corrected and returned with a parent signature
for a possible passing grade.
