Hiring for Sales and Sales Training

Progress Report
This is with regard to the comprehensive assignment for Sales and Distribution course. The following points
illustrate the companies identified and the progress made in gathering information related to sales hiring and
sales training at each organization. We are contacting professionals from different companies mainly by calling
them or via e-mails with our questions on some occasions.

1. Company: ITC
Sector: FMCG
Progress: We contacted the Area Manager of Sales, Mr Anmol Zadoo for enquiring about the hiring
and training processes at ITC. We are in the process of gathering further information about the same.
2. Company: Amul
Sector: cooperative dairy
Progress: We contacted a distributor named Mr Jaidev Sarkar, and got insights on sales job analysis
and manpower planning for Amul. We are in the process of gathering further information by getting
the contacts of other personals associated with the sales teams at Amul.
3. Company: Surya
Sector: Manufacturing – Consumer electric products
Progress: We have gathered some information about the sales personal hiring and training by
contacting the Chief General Manager, Mr Prem S. Jha. We are further looking to get more
information about the job analysis, methods of training, etc.
4. Company: Microtek
Sector: Manufacturing – home Invertors
Progress: We contacted the National Sales Training Manager, Mr Mohit Sharma and got insights
about the company’s hiring and training process for sales. We are gathering more information about
in depth analysis of the processes.
5. Company: Godgrej
Sector: Consumer Products
Progress: We contacted Mr Venkata Ramesh, area Sales Manager at Godrej but could not get much
information due to lack of time. We have asked for another appointment and will contact him this
week.
6. Company: Hilti
Sector: Manufacturing – Construction
Progress: We contacted Mr Naman Chaudhary, a sales manager at Hilti. We are collecting further
information regarding the hiring and training processes at Hilti from different sources.
7. Company: Colgate-Palmolive
Sector: FMCG
Progress: We contacted a Sales Manager Mr Himanshu at Colgate. We have gathered information
regarding the hiring and training of sales force.
8. Company: Oasis WFS
Sector: Manufacturing - Drinking water fountain
Progress: We contacted the Regional Head of Sales at Oasis WFS, Mr Amit Kumar. We are gathering
more information about the sales hiring and training processes.
9. Company: Okaya
Sector: Manufacturing – Battery
Progress: We contacted Ms Pratistha Chauhan, a sales Manager at Okaya Power Pvt. Ltd. We
gathered information regarding the sales hiring and training process.
10. Company: GMMCO
Sector: Sales and Support – Heavy Equipment Machine & Engines
Progress: We contacted the North SBU Head of the company, Mr Sandeep Vaidya and enquired
about the sales training and hiring methods used by the company. We are in the process of contacting
other sales professionals for a better understanding of the processes.
