AFFIDAVIT

I, JANE DOE, of legal age, Filipino, and a resident of Hacienda Isabel, Barangay
Sagang, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, after having been duly sworn to in accordance
with law, do hereby depose and state: -THAT-

1. I am the mother of JOHN DOE, the very same person charged by ROSALIE,
a.k.a. ROSE, with violation of RA 9262.

2. On April 25, 2018, I was at the apartment rented by my son and his wife, ROSE,
located at Servando Liban St., Balzain East, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

3. At around 9 o’clock that same day, some police officers arrived at the apartment
and they were looking for ROSE to arrest her with regard to her estafa case in
Quezon City. I was deeply concerned of ROSE’s security because what I know
was that her case had long been settled and that she told before that she was
merely awaiting for the dismissal order.

4. Much to my son’s desire to accompany ROSE to the police station, he could not
do so because he had to look for money to pay her wife’s bail bond for her
provisional release, despite the fact that my son was then suffering from severe
stomachache. However, before my son was able to look for money, we were
informed that the aunt of ROSE already paid for her bail bond.

5. At around 4 o’clock in the afternoon of that same day, ROSE arrived at the
apartment. Sophia asked that we buy some food at the nearby store so I
accompanied her to the store.

6. When we returned to the apartment, I saw JOHN already outside the door,
looking obviously frightened. At the same time, I was surprised to see ROSE
holding a kitchen knife. Thereafter, she started packing her things up. She picked
up Sophie and left the apartment. Once ROSE had gone, JOHN told me what had
happened in my short absence. I was horrified to learn that ROSE had threatened
my son with the kitchen knife.

7. I am executing this Affidavit to attest to the truth of the foregoing allegations and
to controvert the grossly false accusations of ROSE against me and my son.
