Course Description:
This course starts with the basics of engineering statics. Then we move on towards force systems i.e. moment,
couple and resultant. Then it proceeds with the application of learned concepts to solve the equilibrium problems.
Finally, in the end the problems related to bridges and trusses are dealt with.
Main Topics to be Covered:
 Rectangular Components
 Moment
 Couple
 Resultants
 Equilibrium
 Method of Sections
 Method of Joints
 Frames & Machines
 Friction
