Cnvas Student User Manual

Cnvas is the new CVA web application where you can see your enrollment details, your lesson schedule, study
curriculum, and the results of the exams you have already done.

To log in visit https://cnvas.ahk.nl

Your username is the same one you use for asimut or myahk. Your initial password is your AHK number as shown
in your student card.

After logging in for the first time you will be prompted to make a new secure password. Follow the instructions on
the screen and after your password has been updated you will be able to log in again with the new password.
Note: if you log in from outside of the CvA you will need the Google Authenticator App, see the Appendix A for
more info.
Once online, you will see a page that has your student details:

These are the details known to the student administration and if you see any errors or outdated information don’t
hesitate to contact them. If you click on an arrow, the block containing specific information can collapse or
expand.

For example, if we click on “inschrijvingen” (meaning enrollment) the block will expand to display information
about your study. You can see your main subject, if it is MA or Bachelor, the date of enrollment, and the current
year of your study:
In the next section, “Studentenrooster”, you will be able to see your current schedule in the form of a grid. Each
column displays the days of the week from Monday to Sunday. The last two columns are “on appointment” and
“not planned”. “on appointment” are the individual lessons that have no specific time but are decided between
you and your teacher.

If you click on any lesson in the grid, the lesson details will appear on the sidebar to the right. The details include
information such as the complete name of the lesson, the time, day and period the lesson takes place, the name
of the teacher, the room number, and the other students who also take the lesson in your same group:
From this screen you can also print your schedule, by clicking on the upper ‘print’ icon. This will automatically
download a word file with your schedule in list format.

On the last section, “studievoortgang”, you will find the structural details of your study. These are divided in
columns each representing a year of your study. Bachelor studies have 4 years, and Masters 2. Within each
column you will see the lessons that belong to that year, plus a visual representation of your status in relation to
that lesson. A green circle means that the lessons was completed successfully, and red means not passed.
If you click on any lesson with a green circle the completion details of the lesson will be shown on the left pane.
These details include the date of the exam corresponding to the lesson, the type of exam, your grade, and the
amount of credits you earned for passing that lesson.

If you have any questions or problems regarding the interface, you can always send an email to
f.noriegaalcaraz@ahk.nl.
