News This Week
September
 Today was our first Library day. Your
child checked out a book to bring August 5, 2013Reading–Genre:
home. We discussed how to properly Fantasy
care for these books and said to put
them back in their backpacks each Phonics- digraph k/ck
night. These books need to be Math– Comparing
returned to school on Friday the 13th. Numbers, Adding,
 Several students checked out books
a tiny bit above their levels. I told Number Sequencing
them I would allow them to do so, if S.S./Science-
they have help reading them at

home. We won’t go too high, but
reading for fun and interest is just as Homework:

progress. Many of the popular
animal and wrestling books fall into (due Thursday)
