TOPIC - RESIDENTIAL-EDUCATION INSTITUTION

AIM :
To study the design and function of residential educational
institution system with contemporary designs and services .

INTRODUCTION :

1. Residential educational institution broadly defined as a

pre-college education provided in an environment where
students both live and learn outside their family homes.
2 . Some typical forms of residential education includes
boarding schools, preparotory schools, orphanages,
residential academies, military schools and most recently
residential charter schools.
3. Residential educational institution system works with all
day routine .
4. Spaces can be used as multi- utility spaces .
JUSTIFICATION OF TOPIC SELECTION :
1. It will provide an opportunity to study about the design of
multi- utility spaces.
2. A step to learn about the contemporary designs of
institutions.
3. To learn about the functions of dormitory/hostel.
4. To study climatology required for the design of educational
Institution.
5. To understand the master planning for the deisgn of
residential educational institution .
