CHAPTER IV
This chapter includes the summary of the research study from the
Visual Arts”.
The summary of findings are organized based on the objectives of the study,
treatment to analyze the data gathered, the findings of the study, conclusions
drawn from the study and the recommendations based on the findings.

a. Physical Aspects;
b. Accessibility;
The researcher has observed that the site is accessible by two (2) roads,
San Juan St. and San Sebastian St. The site can be accessed through the
use of private and public vehicles. Though there are no bus routes
within the vicinity of the site, small buses and coasters may enter the
area.

Existing power lines within the site are supplied by CENECO. Water
Telephone posts and cellular towers are also present within the vicinity.
In case of emergencies and need for medical assistance, (1) the nearest
police station is 500m away with a 2-minute drive, (2) the hospital is

1.4 km away with a 5-minute drive, and (3) the nearest fire station is 1.2
Conclusion
Through the observations cited, the researcher concludes that the site is
easily accessible since it is along San Juan St. The other roads which bounds the
site are also paved. Public transportation such as jeepneys, taxis, and tricycles
are available within the site. Emergency facilities such as hospitals, police
stations, and fire stations are near the site. In terms of convenience, commercial
areas are located near the site. The site is already complete with the major
utilities which are water lines, power lines, communication lines, and sewage
systems. The location of the site must be recognizable, accessible, and safe.

All things considered, the researcher concludes that the site and its
surroundings should be in line with each other. The arrangement of its facilities

arrangement of the site development plan. The functions and spaces within the
site will be concentrated in the middle of the lot. Accessibility and convenience
for the users and guests will be achieved when centralized planning of the site is
implemented.

Identify steep and moderate slopes that may be unsuitable for development
Study possible circulation paths for pedestrians and vehicles from these

The rainwater harvested will be used for cleaning the poultry and livestock. It
can also be used for many purposes, that can contribute to water conservation
CONCLUSION
The researcher concludes that the conditions of the site is crucial to its
development. The orientation of the building to the site must be prioritized since
observed. The proper allocation for public and private vehicles must be
observed so that traffic would be minimized. Codes and laws on PWD should

trees and vegetation act as buffers and avoid letting sound to pass through other
buildings so as to avoid noise pollution. Entrance and exit from the site should
only have two (2) ways, one for public use, and one for service.

2. What are the standard and suitable sizes of the required areas?
OBSERVATION
The facilities and spaces were segregated to accommodate the public and
private parts of the building. The three major divisions that compose the
building are educational facilities, the auditorium, and the exhibit hall.

follow the clustered concept. The clustered form relies on the physical
proximity to relate its spaces one another. Since the spaces are segregated into 3
divisions, the areas are easily related to each other. The form consists of
repetitive spaces that have similar functions and share common traits such as its
shape or orientation. It may also accept within its spaces that are dissimilar in

Recommendations
The materials used in the existing structures adjacent to the site are
reinforced concrete, prefabricated galvanized iron sheets for roofing, and steel
posts, and wood. For the building structures, post and lintel systems were used.
Path walks are composed mostly of pavers rather than the usual concrete slabs.

Summary of findings
INTERVIEW
Acoustic and thermal comforts are the figures of merit of a building. The
building should have the necessity to select and utilize the green building
The size, shape and construction material are important factors to consider
in planning and designing music and visual arts facilities for the best sound
control possible.
The architect should aim for rooms that have optimum reverberation time,

Recommendations
splayed walls and ceilings should be considered. Soundproof walls and doors

will also be used. Acoustic ceilings and walls should be carefully designed to
ensure satisfactory conditions within each room. Storage areas should serve as
minimum.
