(ECO-TRIVANEY: A PROPOSED SUSTAINABLE AND CENTRALIZED TRANSPORT TERMINAL
WITH PUBLIC MARKET IN TAYABAS CITY)
The companion growing economy of Tayabas with ₱488,476,468.48 annual
revenue and population of 99,779 people tends to traffic congestion. (Philatlas,2019) This challenges turns into action to lessen the traffic and to enrich the tourism industry. Public transportation provides convenient services for commuters to reach their destination faster and easier. And the public market as most visited places that cater the urban food system of the city.
This study uniquely focuses on the design of Sustainable and Centralized
Transport Terminal with new Public Market development, specifically located in Barangay Wakas, Tayabas City. According to HLURB, the population to be served of public market ranges from 10,000-150,000 people. The site has 5,068 residences that are definitely suitable and accessible to remote areas which owned and supported by local government under the zoning of Riceland areas and the locality’s population is enough to satisfy the necessity demand standards of creating a public facilities. President Duterte signed Republic Act 11393, to adapt new concepts of environmental and eco-friendly materials with technological advancement. The project’s intention is to generate the need of passengers, consumers, and producers by giving safety and healthy living in strengthening the relationship between rural and developed urban areas to elevate the neighbourhood trade-offs.
According to Investopedia,1999, these three(3) pillars of sustainability;
economic(profit), social(people), and environment(planet) contributes in facilities which provide more job opportunities, produced productive and skilled individuals, improved richness and quality of life towards nature through an effective interchanging of production and urban transport circulation from one point to another.
