Assalamualaikum and a very good day to the honourable judges, teachers and

friends. I’m __________ and I am _______________. Today we would like to recite

a poem entitled ‘Save Us!’ written by us.

Save us! Save us!

Our cries are not a big fuss.
We are in great danger,
If we continue to destroy nature.

Beautiful green leaves,

Helps us breathe.
Barks made into paper,
But we destroy trees by the acres.

Fresh blue water,

Helps us cool when it’s hotter.
Rivers and seas filled with rubbish,
Man’s doings must be punished.

Fresh air for the lungs,

Gives us freshness when we are down.
Companies and cars release their smoke,
In the end we all will be broke.

Save the tiger in the wild,

Together with all the animals inside.
If we don’t have, a plan now to act on,
In the future all will be gone.

Stop throwing garbage into the sea,

Save our lives, you and me,
Stop polluting land and sea,
And everyday, plant a little tree.

Start growing trees here and there,

Like a jungle, everywhere.
There will be fresh air to gain,
And more water and more rain.
Let the anti-pollution drive be stringent,
Let the vehicles be restricted,
If this is not done,
We shall be facing extinction.

Forests are where animals breed,

But now trees are all gone because of greed,
There must be something we can still do,
So start caring for things around you.

So dear people, let me tell you,

Save the seas and the streams,
Save the trees and all that is green,
Save the birds and let them sing,
And thank nature for everything.

THANK YOU
